Taranchula is a death metal band featured in the Strong Bad Email "band names." The members of the band are Dave Bjornborg, Dave Olafstenston, and Schenkel McDoo. Their only known songs are Moving Very Slowly from Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits (heard briefly during the email "fingers"), The Decoupage (whose video is directed by Mort Dougland), and Brother In A Jar (composed for Strong Bad's would-be funeral). Also, in the Strong Bad Email "montage," Strong Bad can be seen listening to a Taranchula album with the Wagon Fulla Pancakes. They might be based on Sepultura, a Brazilian thrash metal band that uses stop motion animation in their videos, much like Taranchula's clip in death metal. The picture of Taranchula in the Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits insert is very reminiscent of Glenn Danzig.

Taranchula is a Scandinavian death metal band. The members of the band are Dave Bjornborg, Dave Olafstenston, and Schenkel McDoo; Matt Chapman portrays Bjornborg and McDoo, while Mike portrays Olafstenston.

Initially mentioned in the Strong Bad Email band names, the first song from the band featured in the Homestar Runner body of work was "Moving Very Slowly", released on Strong Bad Sings and Other Type Hits (although an early version was briefly played during the email fingers). The music video for the song, directed by Teeg Dougland, was later included as a bonus feature on strongbad_email.exe Disc Two. Rock-rap collaboration "Trudgemank" featuring Peacey P (for which The Cheat animated a music video) was recorded for the "Trudgment Night" soundtrack. Their most recent song is The Troghammer from the Trogdor!! The Board Game Rulebook Album.

Snippets of other Taranchula songs heard include "The Decoupage" (with music video directed by Mort Dougland and reminiscent of the video for "Sober") and "Brother In A Jar" (composed for Strong Bad's would-be funeral).

Products endorsed by the band include the Taranchula Black Metal Detector (from Videlectrix Kidx) and Cold Ones Dry.

Lead singer Schenkel McDoo has performed "Moving Very Slowly" live alongside Limozeen in 2008 (McDoo was also possessed by Strong Bad, who performed several additional songs) and twice more in 2016.
