I don't see a back button here, do you?

The vast majority of toons on homestarrunner.com include a back button, returning the visitor to the appropriate menu collecting other toons of that type. However, some toons and pages do not have a back button; this trend was vanishingly rare prior to October 2014, afterwhich it has become standard for toons not to have a back button.

Pages that lack a "back" button can be navigated away from via the NavBar or the browser's "back" function.

Toons without Back Buttons

From Fish Eye Lens (released October 3, 2014) onward, no toons have included a "back" button.

As of 2021, the TV Time Toons Menu and Strong Bad Email Menu no longer have "back" buttons.

Special cases

Some toons' lack of a back button is due to their nature as secret pages or unfinished toons.

  • Preliminary Telebision Toons Menu — This version of the menu appears to be incomplete; in addition to lacking a "back" button, it does not have any sounds or full descriptions of the toons.
  • Field Day Intro — Produced for the Field Day Festival event, this toon was designed to be played on a large screen during the live show and was never released as a standalone toon.
  • Eggs — This toon was never finished.
