The Brothers Chaps have made several references to the animated television sitcom The Simpsons, which they have cited in the past as one of their writing influences.

- Museum Sketchbook — One page of rejected Halloween costumes shows Marzipan dressed as Marge Simpson and Pom Pom dressed as Comic Book Guy.
- Strong Bad Main Page — Strong Bad's comment when "Characters" is highlighted seems to be a reference to the episode "Homerpalooza".
- Main Page 14 — The corn cob shower curtain may be a reference to the corn cob curtains in the Simpsons' kitchen.
- The House That Gave Sucky Treats — The Knight's costume refers to the Simpsons episode "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)", in which Ralph Wiggum wears the exact same thing in a pageant for the United States.

- Email candy product — The description of how the SBLOUNSKCHED! bar is assembled, and the mention of "rich, creamy...pepperoni", are references to the episode Bart's Friend Falls in Love, where two fake commercials (one for the "Good Morning Burger", another for a chocolate bar not unlike the SBLOUNSCHKED! bar) have a sultry female announcer describing how they're both assembled, with emphasis on how they're coated in "rich, creamery butter".
- Quote of the Week — The March 24, 2006 quote may be a nod to the episode HOMR, which had a similar tai chi/chai tea gag.
- Email retirement — The graphics for the My Lappy Got Stole! Sweepstakes resemble those used in the two-part Simpsons episode "Who Shot Mr. Burns?", which, like this toon, featured silhouettes of the characters with question marks on them.
- Email lady...ing (DVD commentary) — The Brothers Chaps compare the scene of Strong Bad asleep near the end to a scene in The Simpsons 138th Episode Spectacular where a character voiced by Phil Hartman, Troy McClure, falls asleep while watching outtakes from the show.
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 13 — The policemen resemble police officers Eddie and Lou. The Brothers Chaps mention this in the DVD commentary.
- Where U Goin' 2? — The mattress fire bears some resemblance to the Springfield Tire Fire.
- I Killed Pom Pom — Pom Pom dresses as "King-Size Homer".
- Later That Night... — Homestar Runner mistakes Strong Sad's UTZ girl costume as a "lady Milhouse" costume.
- Fan Costumes 2017 — The third picture has a guy dressed as Strong Bad holding a glass with another guy with a mustache. Strong Bad jokes about having a Cold One with Ned Flanders.
- Halloween Hijinks — Pom Pom goes as The Capital City Goofball.
- Disk 4 of 12 - World Games — Strong Bad refers to O du lieber Augustin as "The More We Hail the Bus Driver", referring to the comical variation from the episode The Otto Show.
