Image

Well, you could improve this image maybe. I one cropped out the corners from an older version, but it would be better to go by your idea and fill in the corners on the older image. Homestar-Winner (talk) 11:02, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Not quite what I meant by improving edges.. I was speaking mostly about images that have been edited for templates like the examples I gave. That is, images that have been edited to have a certain background color but have just had the background flood-filled out. So, your suggestion isn't quite $1,000,000 material. Start with an ordinary screenshot, use just about any graphics program better than Paint, zoom in a kajillion times on a corner, use the dropper tool to select the color of the area surrounding the corner, and use the brush tool to take out the sucker (only about 25 pixels per corner, so it's real quick). I use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI (at least until I get version X2). Hope that helps. =] OptimisticFool 02:15, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Contributions: Page Creation

Is there a way to identify page-creations-by-user .. anyone know? That is, can I see a list of pages I've created? Including redirects? (I don't know where else to ask this.) OptimisticFool 00:11, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

I thought Special:Newpages would help, but I can only get as many as the seven most recent Main page articles to appear, and I don't even know if that would include redirects (I'm guessing: not). I know this page isn't soooo visible, but someone reading this must know of a way.. even if it takes a higher power to dig up a list like I'm looking for. OptimisticFool 17:42, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Monobook Help!

Honestly I don't know what a monobook is. A book with mono, I guess. But anyway, can someone help me by modifying my monobook pages to add a {{plainlinks}} link to Google Search just to the left of my UTC clock? Monobook is the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) for this site, if you've selected that option in your preferences. It won't affect your computer activity, just the viewport of the browser. I stopped using IRC because it conflicted with something else I was frequently doing in my browser (and, to tell you the truth, I don't remember what it was!). I just remember IE kept freezing a lot when I was using it. So, anyway, I fell out of the habit. And TheGirl, happily, has gotten a life. Now add {{User:Pacoman/sig}} here where it says "Signature:" and check the box labeled "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" then click "Save". After that, ~~~~ will work to fill in your new sig. Yeah, Bluebry just mirror's what's in the sandbox. By the way, you can link to wiki pages by putting double brackets on both end of a page title. For example [[User:Bluebry]] becomes a clickable User:Bluebry. And adding a "|" (called a pipe, found on the same key as the backslash) can be used to change the text of a link. Here's an example: [[User:Theyellowdart|Yellow Man]] appears as Yellow Man, but clicking it takes you to User:Theyellowdart. Try something like that on your "list of way cool users" .. but be sure to use SHOW PREVIEW before saving, please! =] OptimisticFool 20:57, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I can't compel anyone to do anything with their sigs, and it wouldn't be much of a surprise if I did. I would guess that about the only people that would be surprised would be new users that join the wiki between now and 1 April 2009. It would still be funny, IMHO, but not up to par with what the HRWiki has done in past years. OptimisticFool 14:54, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I saw those signature options, and I have to say my favorite one would be the one mocking your sister's signature. just b/c that's whose signature you're mocking. And i also think my signature needs a little bit of color in it. I tried a couple months ago, but nothing ever worked like i wanted it to.
