With minor exceptions, these characters are always referred to with the definite article, regardless of how odd it makes the construction of the sentence ("He won a lifetime supply of fish sticks, and a The Cheat!") Occasionally, however, this rule is overlooked or suspended. For instance, in replacement, Strong Bad calls over an intercom, "Attention The Cheat!", though at the end of the e-mail Strong Bad says, "...and kicking Cheats in the hereafter."
