[edit] STUFF stuff

Don't be hard on yourself; I've done similar things twice today! Your revert is identical to the page before your first edit--but that edit was your vote; might want to reinstate that! --notstrongorbad 03:30, 4 Oct 2005 (UTC)

I don't think I voted after the revert, but I'll have to re-look into that. I think the saga of my edits was just trying to add the some kinda robot thing, and nothing else. Thanks for the message, though. :-) Spell4yr

Your hunch is right.... That could probably be deleted outright. How long has it been on the page? — It's dot com 08:17, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

About a day. ... I've just about finished the stuffage, but I'm really not sure if it's worth it. All my hard work for nothing, though ... ;-) Spell4yr 08:19, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
I went ahead and started it. It won't last long, though. It's dot com 08:21, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
Oh. Never mind then. If someone else wants it bad enough, they can STUFF it themselves. I'll delete the page I just created. Sorry for the mix-up. — It's dot com 08:22, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
And now I'm really laughing. Ha ha. Okay, let's get on the same page. Delete it outright. :) — It's dot com
I'm laughing too; I hope I don't wake my roommate. I'm lying on my bed typing so that's why I'm so much behind the times; I finally read this after commenting on the STUFFage. I think I'm about four minutes behind in another time zone right now. Spell4yr 08:25, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Flip-flopping

Hey there, Spell4yr. I see you made a comment referencing John Kerry in the recent changes menu. I'm not sure how to put this, so I'll be direct: although there's no rule against bringing politics into the HRWiki(?), and your intention probably wasn't mean-spirited, I'm going to suggest you leave political references by the wayside in the future. I come to the HRWiki to enjoy the world of Homestar Runner, not to re-visit tired mudslinging from American politics. Thanks. — THE SMOKING MONKEY 10:28, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

  • I'm more of a Democrat than a Republican, so the intention wasn't mean-spirited. I just found it notable that I had switched twice, which was the stereotype that he had in the election. So, again, it wasn't mean-spirited, but I'll find a different way to phrase it in the future (though a situation like that probably won't happen again). Many apologies. Spell4yr 15:37, 29 October 2005 (UTC)
No need for apologies. I suspected you weren't being malicious. Rock, rock on, as it were. ^_^ — THE SMOKING MONKEY 15:55, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Now spell Spell4yr

Hey Stephen. What does Spell4yr mean? Based on this, my best guess to the name's origin is that you were a spelling bee champion, perhaps for four years? Also, how do you pronounce it? — It's dot com 22:09, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

It originated from egotistical naming of myself when I was in eighth grade, signing up for my first email account (a Hotmail account that's still my main one). I won four straight spelling bees at my middle school (though the competition was anything but spectacular), and crashed and burned three years in the southeast New Hampshire regionals. (I only made it to states once, finishing around 12th or something.) But at the time, it seemed the most catchy thing I could come up with (I had done very little on the Internet at that point, so I didn't know of the year/month/adjective-type naming so popular with some people my age — plus, I thought it had to be eight characters or less, which brought about the "yr".) Usually it's just "spell-four-year," sometimes "...-yur," but it can be versatile (in honor of Valparaiso, I have a second main name Crusad4yr, a play on "Crusader" and more-or-less pronounced as such. But somehow, Spell4yr has stuck for seven years, and I'm usually too lazy to think of anything more original or different when I sign up for websites. (That Google search shows the trail that I leave behind me.) And that may have been the longest answer EVER. Thanks for asking; sorry for the amount of info I bombarded you with. :-) — Spell4yr 07:12, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
Okay, so when I see your name, I will think "spell foyer" (that's /foi-er/, not /foi-ay/, by the way). Although sometimes it looks to me like "speller", for some unknown reason. — It's dot com 06:46, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Hmm, whenever I saw it, I'd always think "spell yer" and hear Strong Mad saying, "I CAN'T SPELL YOU!" Heimstern Läufer 06:50, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
