Talk:Pom Pom and The Poopsmith's Relationship

Do they even have a relationship? Or is it two characters who occasionally appear in the same toon together every couple of years? --DorianGray 19:23, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

I haven't really noticed any particular instances in which they've interacted in any particularly noteworthy ways... if they're lumped together, it's usually just because neither of them "talks", like in The House That Gave Sucky Treats or Weclome Back. There's really nothing much that could *go* here... -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 19:58, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Also the show. Maybe this article could have something to it.. that's three instances that we've come up with where they're paired up seemingly because they lack intelligible speech. OptimisticFool 22:16, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
One other instance is Halloween Fairstival. Instead of adding this to a relationships article though, maybe we should just say something about it in the lack of intelligible speech article or make a new article. Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:30, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
The biggest problem with this article is that the relationship is pretty one-sided, which makes it a trifle lacking in interest. Heimstern Läufer 23:33, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

All right, I put some effort into it and all appearances seem to be accounted for now. With that, what do people think? I like it and I think we should keep it. But if the consensus is that it shouldn't be a separate article, this info ought to be documented somewhere. IMHO. OptimisticFool 05:29, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

I changed the header from "getting along" to "being silent together" since that's, currently, what this article is about. Pom Pom gets along with everyone (maybe not with Homestar sometimes) and The Poopsmith doesn't care to always share his crap. Literally. So I can't see any other way their relationship can be more complex then "being noticeably silent at the same time". If you notice, the current image on the Lack of Intelligible Speech is of both of them. I think a few more mentions there and this whole page is already covered. Maybe a new section there? I agree. This page is less of a relationship than it is a running gag-ish footnote of Lack of Intelligible Speech, which is why it should be moved to a new section there. -Brightstar Shiner 14:15, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
I dont even think it needs to be an article. JCM 14:40, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
This article isn't going to work out, even as a running gag. It's just a short list of the toons where the two characters who can't talk appear in the same scene together. Delete or at least redirect to Lack of Intelligible SpeechThe Chort 20:19, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
I am preventings this article from deletions. It should've stayed like the KoT's and PS's. -ThomasAndHomestarFan20 02:37, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, but I'm it's original maker. I just couldn't help but notice this. I thought of this because I'm obsessed with Pom Pom. Jaders20X6 22:04, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

A relationship always has ups and downs. These two (whenever they are seen together) are getting along. IT'S JUST THE UPS!! NO DOWNS!!
It's a good relationship, however all the relationships on the wiki have downs along with ups. Whether they are conflicting or just not getting along. I don't think it should be its own page. Sonicfirestorm44
Yes, but I think there is something interesting behind how they are often seen in the same scene because they both can't talk. There have been numerous appearances (I think) like that in toons. yes theres no ups and downs, but I think that one common ground between them is interesting enough to merit it's own article. You know, you may be on to something there. Sonicfirestorm44 13:12, 19 July 2008

This discussion has been dead for three months, so, as consensus is lacking here, I've removed the tags. Heimstern Läufer 16:18, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Possible reasoning?

I think the reason these two have a good relationship is that Pom lacks a visible nose (and thus cannot smell the stink of The Poopsmith) 01:50, 6 November 2014 (UTC)

Up to you all whether or not to include it.

That's also true of every main character except Strong Mad. RickTommy (edits) 05:44, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
