Being one of the earliest civilisations, ancient Egypt has frequently been referenced in popular culture, including Homestar Runner (especially Teen Girl Squad and Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People).

- Email the show (DVD commentary) — Homestar Runner compares his list of cue cards to the Rosetta Stone.
- Email lackey — Strong Bad remarks that with the email's location of "BC", it may have been written on papyrus.
- Teen Girl Squad Issue 10 — Strong Bad, as Sir Hotbod Handsomeface, makes out with The Ugly One, as The Hotgly One, in front of the Egyptian pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza.
- Email hygiene — Strong Bad says that with his hygiene tips, people can hide behind their new identity as a "raver, greaser, or whatever ancient Egyptian teenagers called themselves".
- Email pizza joint — The Ugly One is dressed like an Egyptian mummy in a sarcophagus. In the DVD commentary, Ryan Sterritt mentions "Tut uncommon", a pun on Tutankhamun.
- Homestar Ruiner — Bubs's email mentions that Bubs' Concession Stand sells Egyptian artifacts.
- Strong Badia the Free — In Cave Girl Squad, two possible deaths are scarab beetles summoned by Anubis, as well as excerebration.

- Two of the Informants mention that Perducci stole a painting from an Egyptian mummy's tomb.
- 8-Bit is Enough — Strong Bad mentions using toilet paper to dress Strong Mad up as "Squarehotep, the vengeful mummy", referring to Imhotep.
- FeedBurner Page — The description for videography reads, in part, "That's like King Tut asking you to mummify his cat for him, right?"
