The two weeks following different town were filled with much angst, as faithful Strong Bad Email fans woke up on those Monday mornings without a new Email.  After being teased by Teen Girl Squad Issue 5, Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2, and Puppet Time, many people were getting impatient waiting for the 100th Strong Bad Email.  Several of these people went so far as to check the expected URL for the Email directly, in hopes that they could see the Email as soon as possible.  The only way this could be done was to type "http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail100.html" into their address bar, since this address would follow the format used for the previous ninety-nine Emails.  These users kept getting the usual 404'd page, until about 2:20 a.m. (EST) on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, which was when they were greeted by Not the 100th Email!!!.

*In the two weeks following different town, the 99th Strong Bad Email, fans eagerly awaited the release of the 100th Strong Bad Email. After being teased by Teen Girl Squad Issue 5, Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2, and Puppet Time, many people grew impatient waiting for the 100th email. Because it wasn't linked anywhere on the site, some users went so far as to check the expected URL for the email directly. The only way this could be done was to type "http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail100.html" into their address bar, following the format used for the previous 99 emails. This URL led to the usual 404'd page, until about 2:20 a.m. ET on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, which was when users were greeted by this secret toon.

Trivia
Trivia
-
*This is probably the only secret page on the site that is supposed to be found, but was never purposefully linked to at any time. However, for a short while, the links to Strong Bad E-mails on Broken Compy Menu were one lower than they should've been, so clicking on car brought you to Not the 100th Email!!!.
+
*This toon is notable among secret pages, as it was intended to be found despite never being directly linked to.
 +
*For a short while, the links to Strong Bad Emails on the Broken Compy Menu were out of sync with their placement in the menu, so clicking on car brought the viewer to this toon.
 +
*The total number of frames in this file is exactly four hundred four (404). (29 frames have been added in after the Flash file stops to bring it to this count.)
Remarks
Remarks
-
*Since the file for this animation is named sbemail100.html, the actual hundredth email's file name is sbemailahundred.html.
+
*Since the file for this animation was named "sbemail100.html" on the Flash website, the actual hundredth email's file name was "sbemailahundred.html".
-

+
**As of the post-Flash site update, flashback now occupies the numerical URL for consistency. As a result, this toon is now located at the "sbemail100" URL, without the ".html".
-
*If you use a Flash player that is able to show the number of frames in a file, you'll find that the total number of frames in this file is exactly four hundred four (404). (29 frames have been added in after the Flash file stops to bring it to this count.)
+
*The name of the Flash file is 100th_email, so there is no sbemail100.swf on the Flash website.
-
*The "This page cannot be found" page is for Internet Explorer 6, so other browser users won't really be "tricked".
+
*This toon had no officially listed title until the post-Flash site update, when the page title listed the toon's name as "Sbemail 100 fakeout".
