Marzipan's complete living room

Marzipan's house is one of the few homes seen in Free Country, USA. Marzipan is the sole resident, though she is often visited by her on-again off-again boyfriend Homestar Runner and hosts parties and events at her house.

[edit] Living room

Thank You

Her living room contains a blue couch, gray walls, and red carpet. To the right of the couch, there is a door nailed shut with planks of wood. In Quality Time with Cardboard Homestar, it is implied to be a closet, but in Baddest of the Bands, Strong Bad clearly states that that is the kitchen, and that it is always boarded up when Strong Mad is there (which he was). In Kid Speedy, it appears that there is another room to the right of the living room, though in Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People, the player enters the house through the right side of the living room.

Above the couch hangs a beige painting with the words "Thank You" off-centered on it. It sometimes has different text on it, such as "You're Welcome" or "Thank Boo", and on one occasion, it changed to Halloween colors. This painting was among Strong Bad's stolen loot in the Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon.

A mirror hangs on the opposite wall of the couch, seen in its reflection from Date Nite.

[edit] Foyer

The answering machine, atop its table.

On the opposite side from the couch, near her door is her PhoneTime XL8 answering machine where the "Marzipan's Answering Machine" feature takes place.

[edit] Kitchen

Her kitchen contains a basic round blue dining table, a window with an outside view, and a sink. On the brown counter lies a Trivia Time cookie jar, her microwave, and sometimes her radio. Above the counter are some shelves with dishes on them, and below the counter are some cabinets. The walls are pale green and the floor has blue and white tiles.

Many other characters seem to use Marzipan's kitchen for their own purposes. Homestar Runner and Strong Bad are seen in the kitchen more often than Marzipan. In the DVD commentary for Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon, Mike Chapman noted that it had not been solidly established whose kitchen it is. Strong Bad apparently checked emails in her kitchen, possibly using her kitchen appliances, for a few years.

[edit] Additional rooms

She has a rarely-seen craft room where she prepares her protest signs, as well as a basement with a chinchilla infestation and orange '70s wallpaper. However, in Baddest of the Bands, Marzipan's house appeared to only consist of a living room and a kitchen. It's possible that the other rooms are accessed through the kitchen or the opposite wall of the living room.

[edit] Exterior

The exterior has yellow siding, a front porch, and a mailbox. The exterior is very similar to Homestar Runner's House, both resembling houses seen in Peanuts cartoons.

Her backyard boasts a fine gazebo, radish patch, and some flower and onion gardens.
