The Timeline of Homestar Runner:In the summer of 1996, Craig Zobel and Mike Chapman wrote "The Homestar Runner Enters the Strongest Man in the World Contest," the original book that created the Homestar Runner body of work and the characters Homestar Runner, Pom Pom, Strong Bad, and The Cheat. Later that year, Matt Chapman, Mike, and Craig made the Super NES video for The Brothers Chaps' brother Donnie as a Christmas present, marking the first appearances of Strong Sad and Strong Mad. Three years later, in 1999, they wrote another book, "Where My Hat Is At?", which introduced Coach Z and Bubs. On December 6 the domain name homestarrunner.com was registered, and on January 1, 2000, the website debuted with the original main page, Where My Hat Is At?, Super NES, several of the early games, and Marshmallow's Last Stand (pictured), the first Homestar Runner Flash cartoon. Marzipan, The King of Town, and The Poopsmith rounded out the original main cast. (more...)
