The Homestar Runner Wiki is now accepting nominations for new sysops.

Please note that these are just nominations. Any final decision will be made by The Admin Team.

This is not a vote. This is not a popularity contest. Do not get rowdy. Do not get your hopes up.

Please use the following format for making nominations:

Tom

I nominate Tom. He's a cool guy. -- Tom 04:33, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • I agree. Tom is the coolest. -- Tom 04:33, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I also agree. Tom is quite cool. -- Tom 04:33, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I disagree. Tom is not as cool as you think. -- Tom 04:33, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I would only like to comment that Tom is in fact the coolest, but I do not believe this reflects on his ability as a sysop. -- Tom 04:33, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I believe Tom should get me a danish. — InterruptorJones 06:04, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Thank you, AgentSeethroo, InterruptorJones, JoeyDay, Stu, and Tom

The Nominees

Thunderbird L17

I nominate T Bird. He seems to be on the ball - Dr Haggis - Talk 05:47, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • I concur. Both of the birds seem to have their acts in the game. In fact, when I first joined I sorta thought they WERE sysops. --Jay 12:47, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • Second Wait... this isn't STUFF. Oh well. --acekirby13 14:58, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
      • 2nd Great wiki user. EDSMILDE
      • 3rd. Thunderbird would be a great sysop. →FireBird
    • He and FireBird would make great sysops. RAINERtalk
  • Definitely Yes. I appreciate Thunderbird's work on the Wiki, and just like Jay, I thought they were sysops when I joined. --Homsar999 20:46, 19 Apr 2005 (CDT)
  • Agree'd He would do fine. -- Joshua 11:39, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • Nominat'd! Tbird's pretty awesome and stuff. -- daunrealist

FireBird

I also nominate F Bird for Sysop. - Dr Haggis - Talk 05:47, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Again, Second. --Jay 12:47, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • Also Second I really can't decide, but both of them would be great choices. --acekirby13 14:59, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • He and Thunderbird would make great sysops. RAINERtalk
    • Second--Mr. Sparkle 11:23, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Decline He seems to hate absolutely every page I create, even if a sysop recommended the page.Lord Pikachon 15:54, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • first I really think he would be kewl to be the sysops.
  • Decline. Something about FireBird rubs me the wrong way. --Homsar999 20:47, 19 Apr 2005 (CDT)
  • Accept I think Firebird has consistently good judgement. Aurora the Homestar Coder 04:20, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Agreed Both him and T-Bird are fine by me, but if only one of them could be sysop, I'd rather have Firebird. -- Joshua 11:39, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Accept While ThunderBird made alot of important pages (which are all very good), FireBird handels trolls vary well. Sysop need to monitor the wiki, and FireBird does it in an exelent way. E.L. Cool
  • Accept Yeah, I worked with Firebird on a page, he's a pretty smart person, knew what he was doing making the page, knew the stuff about Homestarrunner page, too. --Strongbaditude

Jay

I dont know if he's already a sysop, but if hes not, he seems to be on the ball. I nominate Jay. ---erson 15:54, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)

When I first met him I thought he was by how he acted. Nominate'd! - Joshua 15:53, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Jay is a great contributor to this wiki. He'd make a perfect sysop. —Kilroy/talk 19:49, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Definately. He's made tons of contributions.EDSMILDE
  • Second'd - I like what he's done with regards to STUFFing (but then, that's pretty much all I work on anyways). --TheEggman 00:17, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
    • And theres nothing wrong with that! Its mostly where I spend my time.--Posted by -erson 01:03, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I agree. Jay would be awesome. →FireBird
  • Yes sir Jay for Sysop - Dr Haggis - Talk 04:26, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I most definately think that Jay would be a good choice. -From an annonymous semi-contributor
  • Jay=the man. He'd make a great sysop.
  • Second. I think he cares about the Wiki. Aurora the Homestar Coder 00:06, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Second. Though we don't always agree on STUFF, Jay seems to know what he's doing around here. --acekirby13 12:37, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Decline. Jay seems to have a bit of an attitude. Not good if you become a sysop. --Homsar999 20:42, 19 Apr 2005 (CDT)

Daunrealist

I would have to go with daunrealist. He's always trying to help out the wiki community. Really. daunrealist

  • Um... are you allow'd to do that (besides Tom)? EDSMILDE
    • I doubt it's hurting anything, since it's the mods who make the final call in the end. --Jay 00:33, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
      • It's not. But this might be a long page if you can nominate yourself. EDSMILDE
  • Neutral. I haven't seen you do too much when it comes to contributing. Maybe it's just me. Yeah, it's probably just me. -- Joshua 13:09, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Decline. I haven't seen you do much, either. It isn't just you, Joshua. EDIT 18:13, 20 Apr 2005 (CDT): I'll quote you, daunrealist: Write a transcript or something. --Homsar999 20:43, 19 Apr 2005 (CDT)

Joshua

He's made tons of contributions here, as well as to the fansuff. EDSMILDE

Second 216.120.190.30

The Paper

From what Ive seen of his work, The Paper is a great contributer. But I'm not on ehough to be completely sure. What do you think--Posted by -erson 18:13, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • I'd say that too. He's a great contributor, and he IS a great admin on Strongfans.com. He has the smarts to be a sysop, too. --thatkidsam 22:28, 19 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Sysop = Very Yes T-The-P has shown very good judgement and has a sound collection of solid edits. - Dr Haggis - Talk 04:17, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • The Paper and the Admins, together at last! Posted by: -erson Talk 10:44, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • Accept. Seems like a decent admin can be found here. -- Joshua 11:39, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Shopiom

I nominate Shopiom for sysop. --Homsar999 20:50, 19 Apr 2005 (CDT)

furrykef

furrykef's awesome. furrykef's weird. furrykef's awesome and furrykef's weird. And I'll never forget the way it was, grrrl! - furrykef (Talk at me) 04:19, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

EDIT: I submitted this one half-jokingly (I know nobody else would have nominated me since I've been so inactive lately anyway), but I am probably qualified for the job because I've long been a sysop at Wikibooks, nearly have a lock on sysophood at Wikipedia (they're still voting at this time but it looks like, to my surprise, I'm a shoe-in), run my own Wikicity called gameinfo, etc. So vote for me if you wanna. But I'm probably not actually gonna care much either way. :P - furrykef (Talk at me) 12:38, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • I Second that Second. Homsar999ß 14:33, 20 Apr 2005 (CDT)
  • Super SecondKilroy/talk 13:46, 21 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Homsar999

I've been around for a while, and I think I would make a good sysop. Seriously. --Homsar999ß 23:52, 19 Apr 2005 (CDT)

  • While I have seen you, and I know you've been here a while, unfortunately I do not believe your contributions reflect that of an admin. Posted by: -erson Talk 10:46, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
  • I agree with -erson. →FireBird
    • Write a transcript or something. daunrealist
      • I was trying to, for radio when it came out, but somebody else had already done it by the time I had finished it. So don't tell me I've never done a transcript. Haven't I said enough times that I was the person who linked to radio on the Strong Bad Emails page? --Homsar999ß 18:07, 20 Apr 2005 (CDT)
It's not his fault. I've wanted to do transcripts a lot but by the time I get home from school to watch the cartoon the wiki page is basically done. So, accept. EDSMILDE

Kilroy

Thirdly and lastly, I nominate Kilroy. --Homsar999ß 14:41, 20 Apr 2005 (CDT)

Possibly my #1 choice. Keep it up. EDSMILDE
