In our inclusion guidelines (linked above), this falls under "content relating to a very generic item or event". Given that there's nothing special about any of the occurrences listed in the article (they're not used in unusual ways) and, in the majority of the cases, they aren't even interesting visually, I don't think this meets the threshold of notability to be the subject of an article. — It's dot com 02:21, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

Indeed. Scene transitions such as this have existed long before Homestar Runner used them. Few are done comedically, and none are done as satire on transistions. This type of transitioning is nearly ubiquitious with animated cartons. As it currently stands, this page cannot stand.--Jellote wuz here 21:33, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure I agree with the argument that this is too generic. They definitely seem to like mining this type of transition for humor. Not all in the same way, but:

• suntan has a range of "6 to 8 hours" instead of an expected specific time like "8 hours", and Strong Bad also repeats this range when asked how long he's been tanning.
• The more armies example is poorly written as it doesn't even give both of the "x later" transitions that happen. It could be expanded to mention The Cheat saying the fair is in three weeks, followed by "2 weeks later", an irrelevant scene, and then "1 week later" with a transition to the fair.
• Compy Catalog… I'm thinking it's a reference to "2 to 4 business weeks", as in the amount of time it'd take for the Compé to deliver.
• As of more recently there's also too cool, where "8 or 7 years later" uses the Larger or Smaller Number gag.
• credit card and your edge are more generic and them alone probably wouldn't make a good page, even disregarding the three-appearance minimum, but there are already four unusual examples above. The most I can think of for these two is that the former mentions a very short time for Homestar to receive, check, and read the email, and then get his credit card and respond, while the latter has the caption in a crossstitch aesthetic, which relates to the following scene about Strong Bad and The Cheat pretending they're grandmas.

There's a discussion on Talk:Teen Girl Squad about possibly merging these examples into a page also documenting the Teen Girl Squad "transition card on a human" running gag, which I could see happening, but TBC do seem to generally enjoy making jokes based on scene transitions.
