The American hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest has been referenced by The Brothers Chaps numerous times within the Homestar Runner body of work.

Appearances

• The clothing brand Styles Upon Styles is a reference to a lyric from "Buggin' Out", a song on the seminal 1991 album The Low End Theory.
  • This reference was confirmed via @StrongBadActual on February 8, 2019.
• The Cheat Commandos' catchphrase, "rock, rock on", may be a quote from the song "The Chase, Part II", from the album Midnight Marauders, which features a long section of Q-Tip encouraging various groups, cities and countries to "rock, rock on".
• Email virus — The email intro is a reference to the song "Rhythm", from the album People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.
