Homestar Runner shows more respect for The King of Town than most of the other characters do, but they do sometimes conflict with each other.

- Bug In Mouth Disease — Homestar eats the King's ice cream, believing it will freeze the bug out of his mouth.
- Halloween Potion-Ma-Jig — The King refuses to give Homestar the powdered herbs and spices, prompting Homestar to snatch them.
- Email more armies — Homestar and the King are the leaders of competing armies.
- Email pet show — Homestar and the King are competitors in the Cat Mess Inbredtational Pet Show.
- Strong Badia the Free — When the King places Strong Bad under house arrest, Homestar joins Marzipan's protest against the King.
