EL and Läufer ect section?

Are you refering ot me and Heimstern Läufer? What section? Uh?! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:21, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

Yes, I'm also wondering what that refers to. Heimstern Läufer 07:28, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Heh heh, I was hoping you guys wouldn't notice. Shoulda known I couldn't pull one over on you. :)
Okay, well the cat's out of the bag, so instead of waiting until Thursday I got it done this morning, before work. The changes are on my userpage, and feel free to let me know about any other users that I could add to the section. Thanks guys. Thunderbird 13:31, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
Ok. I know that Lapper know a bit of Spanish too, but I can't think of anyone else right now. There was this Asian kid here for some time, but he wasn't contributing much. Uh! And thanks for the mention! You rock. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:15, 2 November 2005 (UTC)

Small Typo

On your user page under the section Lists, you need to add a '>' after '<strike' for the item 'Language List'. I would have fixed it but the page is protected. I R F 13:10, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Heh heh, thanks. I was in a hurry when I typed it, leaving for work. Keep up the good work. Thunderbird 13:22, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

FireBird

FireBird is still not on the wiki.--Stephen923

Okay.... Thunderbird 18:06, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

New Section

I just made a shameless knockoff section of El Coolio's brilliant idea. But unfortunitly my knowledge of formating and code shuffling is a bit limited. I made a basic design, but if anybody would like to improve on my format at all, I would greatly appreciate it. Just try to keep the basic format: the pic in there somewhere, the color in there somewhere, and the ⇔ in there somewhere. Everything else is pretty flexible for now. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks. Thunderbird 08:17, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Deutsch ist tot

Aww, man, the German reference is gone from your list! I liked it! But yeah, your new idea does make more sense. Oh well. Keep on tranglin'. Heimstern Läufer 02:32, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Yea, t'wasn't really practical, with only the two different names. I was just looking for a way to fit you and El Coolio on the quick link list. As it stands right now, I'm far from done it, I've gotta evaluate a buncha people yet. Thunderbird 09:53, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Hey, I liked your spelling of "Jawohl, mein Führer" (what was it, something like, "Yovul, mein fhurur"?) in the edit description. You should try using it in Switzerland sometime; it might be considered correct there. Talk atcha later! Heimstern Läufer
Yea, it's pretty much the only bit of German I know. Russian's my main second language. And by that I mean "I know about 3 dozen words". It does mean "Yes, my commander" or something though... Right? And sorry for the spelling, I type 'em like I hear 'em. Thunderbird 22:00, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
I have a good friend at church who's a native speaker of Russian. I'll have to try that phrase on him sometime. As for the German, the "jawohl" part is a little stronger than "yes"; it's more like "indeed!" or "absolutely!" Also, "Führer" is more "leader" than "commander". But yeah, you got the gist of it right. Oh, and I wasn't joking about using it in Switzerland. They seriously have the weirdest dialect over there, and I hear you can get away with the most outlandish spellings. Anyway, now to get back to Proxyblocks. Heimstern Läufer 22:07, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Oooh, you can actually use Russian? Well then here's a pointless list of my Russain words, and phonetic translations. Feel free to use them at your leasure. Thunderbird 22:21, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Siggy question

My sig is broken. Mediawiki is adding an extra line onto it, can you fix it for me? --Stinkoman KTalk 18:08, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Looks like by now it's already fixed. Sorry, I slept in today. Like, to 11:20. :) Thunderbird 19:38, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Hopefulls?

Hey, Thunderbird, isn't it actually spelt "hopefuls", with one "L"? (Maybe it's different in Canada.) Heimstern Läufer 01:13, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Heh. I should have checked that. I just figured it comes from the root "full of hope", thus warranting two l's. Fix'd, thanks. Thunderbird 01:15, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Whoa, stop deleting

Redirect those instead. — It's dot com 02:56, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

Sorry, I just realized there should be something in place. Then I saw the notice, and knew I was in trouble. I'll get right on it. Thunderbird 02:57, 23 November 2005 (UTC)
It's cool. :) — It's dot com

Breaking teh rules

Hey Thunderbird, I may be only a minor user here, but are sysops allowed 2 personal images? Because you have 2, and others seem to only have one... --Dinoshaur 13:07, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

Fix'd. Thunderbird 18:08, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

Blocked

You've been blocked with an expiry time of one minute for blocking yourself, genius. (block log) :P - KookykmanImage:kookysig.gif(t)(c)(r)

Actually, it turns out, since the system misinterpreted it, you blocked yourself for one whole day! - KookykmanImage:kookysig.gif(t)(c)(r)
Luckily you can still unblock people, even if you're blocked yourself. It doesn't affect sysop powers, just editing pages. :) (See here for a memento of my experience) Thunderbird 00:36, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
Yes. Since I'm using that image as a trophy of sorts, here's a trophy for you:

Pewter Van Buren

Presidential glory!

Congradu'rations T-Bird! You have won the Pewter Van Buren Award for blocking yourself! - KookykmanImage:kookysig.gif(t)(c)(r) 00:41, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

WOOHOO! I won!!!! Thunderbird 04:20, 26 November 2005 (UTC)

Hopefuls

Hi TB! I know you already thought about it by viewing the source of your /Sysops subpage, but I realy think you should add Stux in there too. Anytime I view the recent changes page I see him on some project. From minor ones like splitting talk pages to re-doing entire pages, he is alweys constructively helping the wiki. Those are just my two agorot. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 14:23, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

True, he has done alot. And he seems very knowledgable about computers and codes - an asset for being a sysop, and a quality I'm somewhat lacking. But on closer inspection, he's only made little more than 500 namespace edits. However, these "ratings" are still just rough guides; if a nomination period ever comes up again, I still don't know who I'd nominate, or vote for. I'd most likely still vote a yes for Stux, and maybe even vote a no for some in my list of hopefulls. The list is more used as a quick reference for contributers who's user and talk pages I frequent often. It'll often get updated too. Most likely if Stux continues the way he's going, he'll most likely be on it by the end of the year. Thunderbird 19:19, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Although there are alot of people here who deserve to be sysops, i'm just wondering if you're choosing people that have been around for a long time and have decent edits, or just anyone with outstanding edits. Because some of the people on your list (for example, Mibluvr13) aren't that active, but when they are, they do great edits. I'm not saying i'm against against her, I think she would make an awesome sysop along with the rest, but you were complaining before how some sysops aren't as active after become so. Just a thought. Homestramy20|Talk 19:39, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Heh, funny you should notice that. Like I said before, they're just general guidelines, and they're not done yet. I'm sure there's lots of good users that I haven't thought of. Besides, these are in no way official. I just wanted an extra section of my Sysop list to put users that I often frequent their pages, and I figured "hopefuls" was as good a name as any. I could just have easily named it "others" or "not sysops". As for my guidelines, I kinda took a page from Wikipedia. They look for those who are level headed, made usually at least 1000 mainspace edits, things like that. Again, these are in no way official, or even guarantees that I would nominate/vote for them, should the oppourtunity ever arise. In fact, maybe I will rename it to just "others". Yea, that's probably more accurate. Thunderbird 19:59, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Alright, but you didn't have to actually delete Mib off of there! I didn't mean that at all. Homestramy20|Talk 20:07, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Haha, you noticed, eh? I had actually already reconsidered her, I don't really frequent her talk page or anything anyways. I was just planning to do it a bit later, but I figured during the rename was as good a time as any. Thunderbird 20:19, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
Alright. Have fun picking out all the cool people... Er, I mean all the good candidates of your likeing. ;) Homestramy20|Talk 20:49, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

Happy B-Day, T-Bay!

Well done, my thundergänger! Stop! By the time you read this wikiparcel, I'll be just as alive as I was before you read it! Stop! Therefore, I've enclosed half of my ponytail therein. Stop! I bid you good tidings, and may you continue to flummox those less fortunate than you! (AKA trolls). Happay birthday! Thunderbird L19!! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 04:42, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Woah, you have a pony tail? Cool. Anydayways, happy birthday Thunder bird! — talk Bubsty edits 04:46, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
