Please, please stop playing with the new members
Look, I know you have been warned many times about welcoming new members unprofessionaly, but that isn't what this message is about, quite simply, stop doing all these dumb quizzes. The problem is that this seems to make them hyperactive. I don't know why it does that, but it does and usually, it's better to just leave them. It's probably because they think they've earned respect and can do whatever they want. Please see this as advice, I trying to help.--~ SlipStream 23:10, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- I'm doing what? I don't have any quizzes. And I'm certainly not playing with the new users. I'm confused.

- Maybe I should explain, the quiz I speak of is here. http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/User_talk:HAJ . But that's far from the only instance of you doing that, although it is by far the easiest to find, and even if there are no other quizzes, there is pointless new member talk page posts. Anyway, welcomes should be personal, like, if they right a userpage, you can discuss the contents. Thanks, --~ SlipStream 21:30, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism
This is hardly vandalism, Sam. "lmao" does stand for "Laughing my A** Off" (though withought the "**"'s). That person may just think that it would be better to put the real word in. That's all, Homestar-Winner (talk) 16:56, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
I know that you don't know me that well, I know it seems fishy ( or how ever you spell it) but trust me i did not do it. But i am sorry of what happened User:The-homsarrunner
Reverting good edits
Please don't revert good edits. If there's any chance you just need to clear your cache, then you should assume that's the problem until proven otherwise. Thanks. — It's dot com 04:10, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

First of all posts like this are considered spam. Secondly, there is already a well-established Simpsons wiki. Cheers. — Defender1031*Talk 19:26, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
You LIE!
You said you weren't gonna be here for a week... Well, it's good to see that you are here despite that... I don't really get what the point would have been anyway. — Defender1031*Talk 16:05, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
User talk:KlingOnMyDreams
Sam, your comments to KlingOnMyDreams were extremely tactless and unprofessional. There's nothing wrong with a userpage that contains some amount of nonsense (we wouldn't encourage it, but there's no reason to discourage it, either). Therefore, this comment was rather rude. This one was even more so. As I've pointed out to you several times, our first interactions with users should be positive. Comments like the ones you wrote are likely to just drive new users away.
Then, KlingOnMyDreams replied with nonsense, which wasn't a good idea, but hardly disruptive in and of itself, especially since your comments provoked it. Then you replied with this. You do not have the authority to determine acceptable behavior. You are not a sysop and have shown no sign of having the judgment required to be a sysop. Then, when I added a comment correcting your actions and trying to fix things up with KlingOnMyDreams, you contradicted me. This was apallingly poor judgment.
I regret being this harsh, but you have several times over the past few weeks exhibited tactless behavior toward new users, and frankly, this needs to stop. The wiki wants to extend a friendly welcome to its new users, and your edits are countering that goal. Heimstern Läufer

- I absolutely agree with Heimstern, and I would like to ask you to not just adjust your behaviour on talk pages but also in edit summaries. This is a bad edit summary, and not a nice one either - especially when you consider that this was that user's first edit to the wiki. A better choice would have been a neutral "not relevant for this article", or even a "sorry, this is way too much detail for this article" because they are new. Next time, sit back and think about how you would react to a comment like this before you post it. Keep on tranglin! Loafing

So not only did you copy my totally kick-awesome idea, but your #7 is also one of mine, modified to be in your style. (By the way you might want to put a nowiki tag around your pound signs, as rignt now they all say 1.) ;-) Thanks for giving me credit. Communication with unregistered users
- Hey Annoy. Just a quick reminder: Email is not spelled "E.mail", or at least not Homestar Runner (body of work). That is why we reverted your edits. Have a good time here, and remember, "Email", not "E.mail" (^_^).

If you are going to communicate with unregistered users, then you are going to have to pay more attention to detail. In particular:
- "Hey Annoy." — It's Anonny. There is a huge difference between those two words, and the last thing we want is to unintentionally imply that a user is annoying.
- "Email is not spelled 'E.mail', or at least not Homestar Runner (body of work)." — There seem to be some missing words here. My best guess is that you meant "at least not in the Homestar Runner body of work". Here, too, it is important for you to read over everything you have written to make sure it makes sense, because otherwise it comes across as unprofessional.
If you are unwilling or unable to address these concerns, then please stop posting on anonymous users' talk pages until such time as you are. I and others would be happy to give you any pointers we can. Thank you for your attention to this matter. — It's dot com 19:00, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks Dot Com. I thought it was annoy, not anonny. Oh wait, just relized, I said annoy as in Annoying. Ohhhhh god. But hey, no I know. I'll speak when I need pointers. Thanks again!

- Actually, a more widely accepted spelling (not here, but across the wide world of the web) is "anony" since it stems from the word "anonymous".
