There are a few toons and games in the Homestar Runner body of work that have never been finished or never been released. There are a variety of reasons these projects were abandoned; some were simply forgotten about, some were cancelled in favor of other projects, and still others were cancelled for no discernible reason.
[edit] Toons
- Homestar Runner Goes For The Gold! — A planned sequel to the original book. Though the plot was written out and several characters (including the initial versions of Strong Mad and Strong Sad) were designed, this book was never completed.
- For its twentieth anniversary, the unfinished story was revisited and adapted into an animated cartoon.
- Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True — Homestar Runner hits his head and believes he is a medieval minstrel, so the other characters try to turn him back to normal.
- The incomplete portion of the toon was presented on strongbad_email.exe Disc One, alongside an end card describing the rest of the intended plot.
- Needlepernt — A small animation of Homestar and Strong Bad rendered in needlepoint, designed for a potentially recurring feature where the duo would offer "pearls of wisdom".
- Those Darn Cousins — Homestar's cousins, Preshy and Rafferty, torture him when they're alone but act like angels when others are around.
- A portion of this toon was shown in Why Come Only One Girl?, later posted to Twitter on December 1, 2019.
- Eggs — An Easter-themed animation featuring Easter eggs resembling Homestar, Strong Bad, Marzipan, and Pom Pom.
- Soap Box Doiby — The characters enter a soapbox racing competition.
- This cartoon never progressed to the animation stage; the unfinished script was shared with the Homestar Runner Wiki.
[edit] Games
- Sing Along — An interactive feature with Homestar Runner and Strong Bad singing.
- Homestar Runner RPG — An RPG developed for the Atari 2600, developed by Paul Slocum with a license to use the Homestar Runner characters.
- Initially announced around 2003, by 2008 it had been cancelled as a result of its overly-ambitious scope.
- Butcher Bros. — A sequel to Pigs on Head in the same Game & Watch LCD style.
- Peasant's Quest Proposed Sequels — Two concepts for sequels to Peasant's Quest — "Peasant's Quest 2: Return of the Babym'n" and "Peasant's Quest Online?" — were explored, with early story and graphics created and gameplay concepts brainstormed.
- Neither game progressed to a production stage. The drafted content for the two games was shared with the Homestar Runner Wiki.
- Fluffy Puff Mayonnaise Game — A match-three puzzle game focusing on matching different-colored Fluffy Puff Marshmallows.
- Cheat Commandos Tactics — A tactical strategy game featuring the Cheat Commandos.
- Trogdor Tactics — TROGDOR! adapted into a tactical game.
- Some graphics were created around 2008, but no significant developmental progress appears to have been made.
