The Homestar Runner is the Storybook variation of Homestar Runner, and was the first step in his evolution. Similar to Strong Bad's Storybook variation, The Homestar Runner speaks in a bland, forced tone, but as a version of the regular Homestar's old voice in all of his toon appearances. In flashback and The Homestar Runner Gets Something Stuck in his Craw, he wears a yellow shirt with a duck on it that he is often made fun of for. The Homestar Runner is the protagonist of most storybooks he appears in, and very often wins various competitions.
