[edit] Welcome!

Welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! We truly are glad to have you as a member. If you ever need any help with anything, feel free to ask anyone on the welcoming committee. We're always happy to help. You can also post questions on the FAQ talk page.

Here are some tips to help get you started:

  • If you need general information, editing tips, or answers to frequently asked questions, check out the help page.
  • Before you do any significant editing, be sure to familiarize yourself with our wiki standards.
  • Read up on the rules and guidelines for your user page so you don't accidentely break any of them.
  • If you're not sure what you can do to help out, head over to our community portal, The Stick. There you'll find a variety of projects that will assist the Wiki.
  • If you're looking for more community interaction, check out our forum and become a registered member.
  • Above all, be sure to be bold with your editing and have fun!
  • This is an extra "The thing" welcoming thing. Check out the Fanstuff!
  • One more the thing welcoming thing. DO NOT MAKE GUESTBOOKS!

Feel free to delete this message when you're done reading it. After all, your user page belongs to you. I know that this Wiki can seem like a big and complicated place at first. Trust me, we all know what that's like! Anyway, I hope this information is helpful to you, and that you'll have a good experience contributing to our knowledge-base and our community.

[edit] Personal Comments

Please to be not adding personal comments to pages, such as "I wish I could see this". Use the talk pages or (better yet) the forum. Just a heads up. --Jay (Talk) 01:25, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Show Preview

Just a tip for future reference for when you're messing with your user page: when you're editing, there is a "Show preview" button next to the "Save page" button - if you use that, you can see what you've changed without saving the page, which is easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and it doesn't fill up Recent changes with your edits. --phlip TC 12:18, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
