[edit] WHAT???

I THOUGHT NEW USER REGRISTRATION WAS DISABLIFIED!!!!!!!-- Benol, aka Coach B 20:52, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

It's possible the admins created Aerosmth's account manually. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 20:56, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Or it was created a while ago and this was Aerosmth's first edit. But only you can tell that, Mr. rules! —AbdiViklas 21:44, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Actually, it's not just admins who can do it; any logged-in user can create a new account on behalf of someone. It's dot com 21:48, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Actually, it's none of the above. And if I'm doing something wrong here (with this edit), I'm COMPLETELY new. It must've been a glitch or something. I really don't know. —Aerosmith Rules 15:17, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
No, you're doing nothing wrong. "Coach B" was just expressing surprise at how you became a new user, since we've temporarily disabled registration. (And yeah, if you joined after about 11/13 and didn't have anybody's help with it, that is weird!) —AbdiViklas 20:42, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Maybe the weirdness in me passed onto the computer. — Aerosmith Rules 15:50, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
After further review, my comments above seem to be incorrect (currently). — It's dot com 20:53, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] User Page

What is my user page? I think I read somewhere on this site that I put some info about me. Is there any format or can I just type stuff about me in an unorganized fashoin? My brain isn't working to it's full because I have a history test tomorrow and I am so afraid of failing another test. — Aerosmith Rules

You see how your name is currently red? Click on it, and you'll be taken to a new page that you can edit. That is your User Page. You can also get to it by clicking on this link: Click here. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 20:28, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Also, be sure to conform to these rules. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 20:29, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
Another note: When you sign a post, type three or four tildes together: ~~~ (your sig by itself), ~~~~ (your sig + the current date and time). — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 20:31, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
(LOL; everybody helping at once) And you do that (sign posts) on talk pages like this one, but nowhere else. —AbdiViklas 20:40, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Wait a minute. What's with the ~ thing? I don't see anyone using it (I'm looking what you guys typed in this edit). Also, how do i get a sig? One last thing; what's with the (UTC)? — Aerosmith Rules 15:46, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

When the page is saved, the tildes become the code for the sig automatically. UTC is just the standard time the system dates posts with so that no matter where people live all of the given times are the same. UTC is Greenwich Mean Time (on the Prime Meridian). small_logo.pngUsername-talk 20:50, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
I don't know what time it is over there! I know the thime in Italy, but that's because my sister lives there! Can't we just use Eastern/Pacific Time? And the sig thing is still confusing, but I'll get it eventually. Aerosmith Rules 16:03, 29 November 2005
OK, the globe in here (this room) has a time converter thingy. scratch that last post i made. — Aerosmith Rules 22:11, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Re: Signatures: When you put up your next post, try typing ~~~~ (four tildes in a row) at the end of your post, rather than typing out [[User:Aerosmith Rules|Aerosmith Rules]] . Then see what happens. :) — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:01, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

a heads up. you put your user page on User: Aerosmith Rules when yours should be User: Aerosmth rules because you forgot to put the "I" in Aerosmith-- Benol, aka Coach B 21:53, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Dear AeroSmith (or is it AeroSmth) Rules, If you would like the "i" to be in "Smith", I can fix it for you, but you have to formally ask for it to be done on this page. — It's dot com 21:59, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
I'm too lazy right now. Maybe tomorrow or whenever. Actually, it doesn't matter. (yawn). Aerosmth rules 00:26, 30 November 2005 (UTC) 01:25, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Er, it does matter, because we need to get your user page and your talk page together... but I need to know which username you want to use: with the misspelling, or the corrected one? — It's dot com 00:31, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Leave it how it is. It's not bothering anyone. Aerosmth rules 00:36, 30 November 2005 (UTC) 00:35 (UTC)
Darn. I was hoping to try out the "change username" feature. But oh well. — It's dot com
If you want to, go ahead. But I need to get off the computer to study some more so I don't fail the history test this time. Aerosmth rules 00:49, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
I say change it, Dot com. Everyone's gonna be typing Aerosmith (with the I) anyway. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 15:22, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
I will gladly change it, if Aerosm(i)th truly desires it, but just to be on the safe side, I need the request to be on HRWiki:Changing username. It's no big deal either way, as long as the usage is consistent. (But KieferSkunk is right, Aerosm(i)th. I myself didn't notice the missing "i" until someone pointed it out, and even then I had to pay close attention.) — It's dot com 15:33, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
How soon do you need it? Cause I just got on the computer for the first time today (I had Strategy Club at school then i played Scrabble with a friend). I have nothing going on tomorrow after school so I'll ry to do it then. Sorry for the long wait, I just have a lot going on.Aerosmth rules 01:44, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
Scratch that last post. I just made a request just now. Aerosmth rules 01:52, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Yay! I'm back on! Why didn't I try the capital R while logging in? Oh, well. Thanks for changing my name! Aerosmith Rules 20:31, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
