[edit] Deletion

I don't think this is necessary, because:

  • Not many references to this
  • Too specific

The title's too long to be useful, and this phrase has been used not only for video games. Eh. --Dinoshaur 19:43, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

While we have now three occurances, I don't think this is a running gag. It's not very funny or out of the ordinary to say this about video games, and the only time it has been used in a funny way was the The Cheat's theme song. I believe it should be deletedLoafing 23:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Keep. Keep all the way. HaldoHelscome!

[edit] Title Suggestion

I think we should change the title so it kinda follows along with Best/Worst X bucks I ever spent, or Not X TheCoolBot 21:20, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I second that. --DorianGray 23:04, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Keep and Rename. The Goblin!! 23:46, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Merge imo; same idea. 00:20, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

same delio

I think we should either burninate this artical or delete it
There's enough here for a page, but I think we should just rename this "Best/Worst Ever", or something like that, and merge it with Best/Worst X bucks I ever spent. Seems like a broader joke than what we have listed in these two pages. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 01:34, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Maybe Best/Worst X I ever Y. The Goblin!! 03:34, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Hm. That name sounds a bit clunky, and doesn't really add anything just "Best/Worst Ever" wouldn't, really... -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 04:37, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
If we do merge (I have not yet formed an opinion on this subject myself), don't forget that the page Best/Worst X Ever exists, too. OptimisticFool 15:44, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Go ahead and delete it. It's already on the Best/Worst X ever page. Awexome 20:51, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Merge with Best/Worst X ever. Add subsections to the article to organise everything. – The Chort 22:12, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, I think the running gag the author of this article was intending to show is that the "(adjective)" is not always "best" or "worst" but also includes "easiest" and allows for others. Paint me unsure as to what to do with this article. OptimisticFool 22:22, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
I think we should merge this and Best/Worst Bucks (I don't really care if afterword they get redirected or deleted). They are not good enough on their own. Homestar-Winner (talk) 22:26, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
No merge: Best/Worst X Bucks should remain a separate gag (see my reasoning at this article's talk), while Best/Worst X ever should arguably be deleted. This gag needs to either stand on its own or not at all. Heimstern Läufer 07:16, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
These instances have little in common so this page should have been deleted much earlier. You don't see any page about "This is the (adjective) Decemberween ever," do you? Bad Bad Guy 20:27, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

One thing that worries me: if we do merge this with Best/Worst X Ever (which currently has a unanimous concensus to delete, but no word from the author), then we might have to change the name to Best/Worst/Easiest X Ever. And eventually, the page would become Best/Worst/Easiest/Hardest/Crappiest/Kick-Awesomest X Ever. Is that really what you want? Bad Bad Guy 14:42, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Could rename to something more general like "Overwrought Superlatives" - not a good commando name. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 14:50, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
I meant to say that the page will have too broad a scope. Bad Bad Guy 17:31, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

It's already been decided that nothing should be merged with the bucks page, and the best/worst page might get deleted. You people who voted "merge," do you want this article to exist at all? Bad Bad Guy 18:02, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I would like some clarification from Heimstern Laufer. Why do you not tell us whether you believe the article should stand on its own or not at all? Bad Bad Guy 18:57, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

This is a somewhat odd (and also somewhat accusatory) question, and you insiting on it is even odder. Heimstern posted his opinion on this talk page, and that's that. If you didn't understand his post, then it's perfectly fine to ask what he meant. But you can't force him to make a decision or take a side. Do you always have an opinion or a solution for everything? Also, you need to be less pushy in general. If people are interested in a discussion, they will post. If nobody posts, then that usually means that people just aren't passionate enough about this or are concentrating their energy elsewhere. It's the wiki way. Loafing 22:14, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Re: "You people who voted 'merge,' do you want this article to exist at all?" On a scale from "keep" to "delete", "merge" is closer to "keep". Without further clarification, we must presume that those advocating merging this article with an article that now no longer exists would rather keep the information in some form somewhere, which by default would be to leave it in its own article. — It's dot com 23:34, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Clarify, which article does not exist? You alk as if we all have been following this. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:27, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Best/Worst X Ever has 6 votes for delete and only 1 for keep, so I was expecting it to get removed soon. Bad Bad Guy 03:46, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Now that Best/Worst X Ever will be counted as a recurring theme instead of a running gag, I believe this whole article should be turned into a redirect to that one. Bad Bad Guy 20:01, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm gonna have to say to merge with the afformentioned article... but as for this one, a redirect doesn't seem to be needed, given the long, clunky name. Redirects are really only useful for things people are likely to search for, and it's pretty unlikely anyone will do a search for "This is the (adjective) video game I've ever played". -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 00:10, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Um, so, there seem to be a lot of merge votes, but nothing was really merged, just deleted and converted to a redir. -DAGRON 20:14, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
All the relevant information (except "the easist game I ever played", which I don't think counts due to lack of similarities to the other references) was already included on the article this page redirects to. Bad Bad Guy 20:17, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Forgive me for commenting on something without examining it in the necessary detail. -DAGRON 20:20, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
