Talk:The Cleric
From Homestar Runner Wiki
Well I would convert this to a thumbnail but it ends up looking silly because the screenshot is too narrow ah well.

Shouldn't this be merged to the King of Town DVD as a tab for minor characters?
- No, we don't put characters on the individual toon pages, no matter how minor. --DorianGray
- See Category:King's Servants for other examples. -- Tom 03:17, 30 April 2006 (UTC)
He seems to have a pocketwatch, you know. And I think that The blacksmith is Pom Pom some guy from a zoo starrng as himslef! --Homfrog 10:37, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Andy know, he doesn't have a cool enough hat to be a pope. OFCORSE--Homfrog 10:38, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Homfrog, you do know there's a link to the Forum over to the left? This talk page is meant for discussing the content and management of the page. - Qermaq - (T/C)

I'm adding that his voice has a permanent reverb. Notice when he says "Have you tried..." it echoes just like when he speaks into the mic. --IT'S A LION! 19:36, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Rope belt
It is mentioned that the bishop wears a rope belt, a common trait of monks. However, it looks to me as if he's wearing the normal clerical cincture, which is braided similarly to a rope. I might change this, unless there are any objections pensivepoet.babblingbard
- I went ahead an changed it, including the cincture as part of his clerical garb.
[edit] Move?
In the commentary for senior prom, Matt, Mike and Ryan discuss what the name of this character is; here's the relevant piece of dialogue:
MATT: —Blacksmith and the S— the Scribe. {laughs}
MIKE: {laughs} Is there— does he have a scribe? What do we call him?
MATT: The Bishop? The Clergyman?
MIKE: Oh, the trumpter guy? I don't know what we call him.
MATT: No, what's the religious guy called?
MIKE: Oh, I call him the... Clergyman, I think.
MATT: The Cleric?
MIKE: The Cleric.
Later on in the commentary, Ryan and Matt refer to him again as "the Cleric". I looked back at the filmography for this character, and I can't see any official place where we got the name "The Bishop". Should we move this article to The Cleric? Trey56 19:30, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- I was just about to ask about this when I saw that you had already posted it. I think The Cleric is a pretty good name, seeing as we just made up the name "The Bishop". Since Matt actually mentioned the wiki's name for this guy, I don't think we were too far off. (Maybe he remembered the name from reading the wiki?) But anyway, I agree with the move. — Has Matt?
