Talk:Strong Bad Email By Closing

From Homestar Runner Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

I'm not going to mark this for deletion just yet, but I'd really like to hear a case for why we need the emails organized like this. I'm looking for something better than "because we can". — It's dot com 18:10, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

I like it, although I'm having a hard time saying exactly why I do at this point. I guess it seems to me no less interesting than sorting the emails by location of sender or most of the other parameters we already have. I'll update if I think of a better reason soon. Every other email form has been covered, why not this one, too? If we were to remove this article, we'd have to remove every other email-themed article, too. If you can come up with a legitimate explanation as to why this article needs to removed, then can you please explain? Because unless you can, this article stays. Thank you for your time. Hi, here's how I see it.
Arguments for removing the article: It's maybe not as interesting as the other lists such as "e-mails by State/location."
Arguments for keeping it: It's still kind of interesting. (Who doesn't like reading Strong Bad quotes?)
If people are willing to write up and maintain this list, then I think it could stay. --Garfunkel 18:44, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
MHarrington: No one has said that this should be removed. Several people like it, and you'll notice that (so far) it has not even been marked for deletion. I just want to talk about it is all. I disagree that if we removed this one then we would need to remove the other ones as well. Certainly by title is important. By name of sender and by place can help you find an email that's on the tip of your brain (for example, I immediately think of "Lasko, Milwaukee, Wisconsin", but don't remember which email that is). By length and by release date each give important comparison info that is used in other discussions. Incidentally, I'm not saying that by closing isn't interesting info when you look at it as a group, I would just simply to hear what the impetus to make the page was so that I can see a better rationalization for it. — It's dot com 19:23, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
I like this article. It may not be the most important part of a SBEmail, but it is interesting nonetheless. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:27, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "_"

What is "_" supposed to mean? Could there be a better wording of this? --The_homestrongzipansadcheatsmith2.PNG Tlk/Cnt 15:05, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

I guess it means a hyphen before their name. There probably is a better way to word that.. but I dunno. --Garfunkel 15:07, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I posted late.. you fixed it. Nice. --Garfunkel 15:09, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
