After removing half this page due to lack of relevence, I see that the little here isn't worth keeping. Why? Because unlike many other character relationships, this has no complexity at all. Homestar was the Fluffy Puff Mascot, and then Marshie took the job, hence, Homestar hates him. Unlike many good relationship articles, there is no clever writing by the Bros Chaps.--~ SlipStream 22:52, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

This is not a keen relationship. Homestar and Marshie have never personally met and have never gotten along. Delete. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 22:49, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

This relationship doesn't really seem to me to have enough substance for an article. Heimstern Läufer 22:50, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
He hates that freakin' marshmallow, there's not much else to be said. Delete. — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 22:51, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

OMG WHY DO MY EDITS KEEP GETTING DELETED?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?user:haldo

Please do not shout others. Heimstern Läufer 23:35, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

K', I added 2 sections, a few links an a picture. Well? is it legit? user:haldo

That doesn't have anything to do with their relationship. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 23:33, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
{reply to Haldo after edit conflict} The problem is that the two sections you've added are not about Homestar's relationship with Marshie, but about his involvement with Fluffy Puffs. Not the same thing, and thus not really relevant to the page. Heimstern Läufer 23:35, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

You're right... It's not a relavant Character Relationship article (Wait! Don't deleete it yet!!) But maybe if we changed the name of the article, it might still be a relavant article. Hm? user:haldo

Nope. It's clearly a character relationship, and will still be deleted (If everyone agrees) even if it's moved. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 00:07, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Sam, my man, Think of the BIG PICTURE. It would be in the catagory "fluffy puff" and be called "Homestar Runner's Relationship with Fluffy Puff Marshmallows." Then, All I'd have to do to it is maybe refraise some things a bit. It would still be about a relationship, yet not with a character. Eh? user:haldo

Still no. That doesn't work. That is not really a relationship. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 00:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Can I get a few more user opinoins? PLEASE?? user:haldo

OK, delete. The subject is not very complex and thus does not require a separate page.wbwolf (t | ed) 04:42, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

i think that this could be a good article if the title was changed and things were rephrased, just like haldo said. even if there are more votes to delete it, we could atleast find a place to put some of this content if there isnt anywhere else on the wiki where it talks about homestar hating marshie. if there is, i m sorry haldo, but id hav to go with delete. --Acam30 01:41, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I just added it today... can we get 5-8 more user opinoins before closing the poles? user:haldo 5 0r 6 for whether or not to deleete it or just change the name and refraise, and the other 3 or 2 for what to do then if we keep it....

Please, wbwolf, stop deleeting the last two sections. If you didn't hear, we were going to CHANGE THE NAME so it would no longer be about marshie. Besides, we could keep the "homestar advertising with marshie" section if we only had the ads with marshie in them.

delete there isn't really enough here, and your idea of having a relationship page about the item is just... well... dumb. What next, The Poopsmith and Whatsit's Relationship? (I think i would jibblie myself to death if i saw that page... *sudder shudder*) — Defender1031*Talk 14:57, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm painfully aware of that. what about his relationship as far as being in/helping with the ads that Marshie is in? sheesh.

I still don't think that that would really be notable. — Defender1031*Talk 15:01, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

care to allaberate? They're still getting along, right?

Sure. It's not really a consolidated page. Is it about homestar and marshie? is is about homestar and whether he enjoys fluffy fuffs? is is about his appearances in the commercials? what is the scope of this page? I just don't see that as clearly defined, and unless it is, the page is worthless. — Defender1031*Talk 15:06, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Understandable....but when Homestar appears in or adverrtises ads that Marshie is in (other than being on every freakin' bag, i mean) in a way Homestar and Marshie are getting along. I'M SAYING WE SHOULD ADD THAT.

That's not the discussion, the discussion is that this page seems to lack a clearly defined scope. please define clearly the scope of this page. — Defender1031*Talk 15:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Why, sure... It's correct to say that this page was a bit random when I first wrote it. Now, I want to be more loyal to it's title, since as you said, It was a bad idea to make an article about a relationship with an item. They do get along sometimes, whether Homestar is advertising a commercial that includes Marshie or is really in the commercial with Marshie. Did I make myself clear?

Yes, and what you're proposing seems to fall outside that scope. In addition, reading back this discussion, you seem to be jumping from one idea to another as to how to convince us to keep this page. It seems to me that this is a case of you simply wanting to have created a page and not caring whether it's worthy or not, as long as your name is on it. I understand, and it happens a lot with new users. Be that as it may, I say this has gone on long enough. You are the only opinion out of 6 here that wants to keep it. It seems to me that there's been consensus to delete for a while now, and it's long overdue for this page to go. — Defender1031*Talk 15:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Note: we generally let just about all deletion discussions run for a few days. It's only fair to see to it that a broad spectrum of users have a chance to participate. So I wouldn't consider this overdue at all. Heimstern Läufer 22:26, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
Wow, i didn't realize how quick this page had filled up... i thought it had been around for like a week... My bad... still think there's consensus though... — Defender1031*Talk 00:50, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Gimme a sec... I'm taking the link off my user....

First of all, that could be done afterwards also, secondly, i'm not a sysop, I can't delete things. — Defender1031*Talk 15:28, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

took it off my user. I just didn't want anyone following a red link, as I call them. Besides, having a page that you yourself wrote in red... That's just humiliating... Haldo 15:30, 18 November 2007 (UTC) guess I'll just go watch the composer....

BTW, I want you to know, that I understand where you're coming from, and appreciate it. You're trying to help the wiki. I know. And sometimes you want to help the wiki so much that you lose sight of what helping the wiki means, kind of like the pilots who get so fixated on their target they fly right into them. I know, and I understand. But don't get discouraged. A bit of advice, don't go looking for articles to make... if you're browsing and notice "hey, we don't seem to have a page on X that appears a lot", then go ahead and make it, but don't try to force it, get what i mean? — Defender1031*Talk 15:35, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Okay...thank you, DeFender1031. :) user:haldo but... It's kind of hard not to get dicouraged when only one of my articles is solid. I lost control....

Don't worry. Happened to me a lot in the old days. Don't get discouraged. When the new sbemail or toon comes out, create a page for a character or place, maybe even running gag that appears for the 3rd time. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 15:57, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Hey there, I was thinking one of you could reveiw a non-existant article that I would like to make: smoke bombs. Should I just make a sub-catagory in explosives or should it be it's own? user:haldoHaldo 16:37, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

You see, this is exactly the problem with having Relationship pages. Things get out of control and we end up creating incredibly minor articles such as these which have little depth or even content. The reason this page doesn't work is simple: both characters have only appeared in the same toon together twice (Mr. Shmallow doesn't count). Homestar hates that freaking marshmellow and that's it. Everything here is already mentioned on Marshie's page. There is an agreed concensis that only major and complex relationships should be kept. If we keep it, we end up setting a precedent in the future and we'll end up with dozens of pages like Strong Bad and Crack Stuntman's Relationship or The Cheat and Sterrance's Relationship. Seconding the opinion set forth by Teh Chekt. Delort.Dagron 19:45, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

The Chort is right... I let things get out of control and we shouldn't make pages about relationships of minor characters. BTW, are you sure it mentions Marshie's appartent hatred of Homestar in his page? user:haldo Haldo 20:19, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Correction, Marshie doesn't hate Homestar, Homestar hates Marshie. Either way, no. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 20:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

wow i definately dont think there is enough content nw- delete --Acam30 20:56, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

Sorry to confuse, I meant the accurence of Marshie pelting Homestar in the face with Malloweens. because of that, I thought they might have equal feelings of each other. user:haldoHelscome 01:22, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
