[edit] Ownership

I've been thinking, maybe the car wasn't broken when they filmed Dangeresque, maybe Strong Bad just doesn't have the keys for it. I'm thinking that Strong Bad doesn't know how to drive (or at least has no licence). Furthermore, Marzipan is the only character who has ever been seen with car keys (in one of the answering machine sketches). Yes, that's right: I think Marzipan owns the Gremlin! -- The Real Zajac 12:07, 3 May 2005 (PDT)

Erm... I agree with one of your theorys. Strong Bad doesn't have a car, so that would make sense. But Marzipan owning the gremlin? Cut! No....... — talk Bubsty edits 04:36, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

What about the set of keys the cheat won in the sbemail "pop-up"? Could those be to the gremlin?-- blue_bomberman 2:01, 9 Sept 2006 (CST)

[edit] Possible reference...

The Gremlin may be a reference to the 1999 film The Haunting (a remake of an earlier film) - in which the main character, played by Lily Taylor, drives a white mid-seventies Gremlin. It would seem oddly appropriate, seeing as how the Gremlin first appeared in "Homestarloween Party." -- Vitesse

[edit] How do you open the door?

It seems like there's no handles on the doors! Should that be added to the article? Or is it that '73 Gremlins just looked like they had none? Steve Talk Contributions 18:18, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

Check these images out. --DorianGray

Also, how do they get out? In road trip Strongbad says that Bubs told him that the doors and windows don't open from the inside? Its just a mistake or a stnank i suppose... --lustmyeyes <3 05:14, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Homestar opened it from the outside (somehow). --DorianGray 05:15, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Using his lack of visible arms to pull the lack of visible door handle. OptimisticFool 05:21, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 73

How do we know it's a '73? --Jnelson09 19:36, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Pro'lly some car expert uses the wiki. --DorianGray
Don't know that it proves anything, but this picture of a 1973 model looks a lot like it. Trey56 05:29, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] SBCG4AP

Why come SBCG4AP just calls it "Cool Car"? --Not Dennis 18:42, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Probably because "Gremlin" is/was trademarked. --Emtu 04:25, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
