[edit] Picture

Ugh. I just remembered that my new computer has a DVD drive, but my Paint program (or maybe my Print Screen feature) is glitchy in ways that simply boggle my mind and I have no other paint program. I'm trying to take a screenshot, but no luck yet... --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 17:33, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)

I should be able to upload a decent one. That is, unless I get beaten to it first. =) What part of this email would you capture for the screen shot? —THE PAPER PREEEOW 17:36, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Never mind, I got one now. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 17:37, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Stinkoman

  • Wouldn't the Jaro comment be made as a fast forward comment, as it is made in the Compy era? Or would it still be an inside reference, due to the fact that it came out after the game? Rogue Leader / (my talk)
Not sure myself. Since the name of the emailer was probably not chosen based on the game, but the reverse may be true, I'm thinking Fast Forward. But we can't really prove it either way. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:54, 27 Jul 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Ludacris

Do you think birds of a feather is a reference to ludacris song Get back?--Sultn 23:46, 9 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Nope. Common phrase. —Gafaddict Image:Gafaddict sigpic.gif (Talk | Contribs.) 02:01, 10 Aug 2005 (UTC)

It's meant to be ironic humor because the Brothers Strong don't look alike. -Kinsey

[edit] Spelling error in title?

Has anybody noticed that this email's title screen is spelled "Family Resemblence"? Should we move this page, then? —BazookaJoe 18:45, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Well, I should say so! Plus a note in the fun facts. — It's dot com 18:50, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I hadn't noticed that (obviously, I made the page) but "Resemblance" is the proper spelling. Shame on you, TBC! --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:51, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I checked and triple-checked to make sure I wasn't making a huge stnank. It's official; here goes the move. —BazookaJoe 18:55, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Jaro Pronunciation

How did Strong Bad pronounce "Jaro?" I'm curious. - Joshua

Jare-oh. Rhymes with Share-oh. —BazookaJoe 13:30, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] The Ugly One

Strong Bad also wishes he could make out with Hypothetical Made Over The Ugly One. Could this be considered as a fast forward?--ItalianBallerina

Thats to much of a stretch. — talk Bubsty edits 17:48, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Easter egg

How do i acsess the strong bad easter egg in the email

[edit] earthbound zero/MOTHER reference?

Jaro from Podunk...obvious what jaro is a reference to, but the reference i'm talking about is where he comes from, Podunk. In earthbound zero (MOTHER in japan), the first town you go to is called Podunk. Coincidence? Poopskin, YOUR HEAD ENGSMSPLODE.™ 16:31, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Probably. I'm pretty sure that "Podunk" is just a word for a random small town. --100.40.44.170 01:47, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
You mean doubtful then. Because Podunk is just too common to pin a H*R reference to. — Ngamer01 17:57, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
Ngamer - anonny's response, albeit four and a half years overdue, was correct. "Probably" referred to it being "probably" a coincidence. So just leave it alone. The Knights Who Say Ni 18:32, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

[edit] How do those Boardelectrix guys sleep at night?

Could Pom Pom's family fighting be a reference to the time The Simpsons got into a Monopoly fight? Bad Bad Guy 14:21, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I am split on this. It could of been inspired by The Simpsons. But it is also an easy think to come up with on there own. But when typing I am starting to go with it was inspired by it. The-homsarrunner 14:25 March 5 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jurvy Skat?

Hi everybody!

I am wondering, what does that weird word "Jurvy Skat" mean? Could you please explain to me? Thanks!

--81.21.219.61 17:17, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

I think the word's etymology is related to the words "Suudsu" and "Jhonka". Which is to say, totally made up at the spur of the moment by The Bros. Chaps. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 00:17, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

[edit] Seinfeld Reference

Regarding this edit, there was the question:

But how bou' seinfeld? is the logo a reference to seinfeld? -jeffjman

Looking at the Jurvy-Skat Logo and comparing it to the Seinfield Logo they do have some resemblance so it might be a valid reference. It might help to open up the question to the rest of the wiki community. --Stux 15:40, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

Yeah, and I also noticed it kinda resembled the Veggietales logo too... But I think the seinfeld reference is more likely considering flaming glorbes.

(I knew this edit would attract attention, maybe because I left a note) ((also, I got the Wikipedia "using 2 brackets instead of the wp" template from the page of Board Games where it had wikipedias in braaackets)) -J∃ffJMan 17:39, 13 January 2022 (UTC)

*checks* Vaguely, but I am not convinced it's a deliberate reference. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 03:16, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
