Easter Eggs

  • Most of the e-mails have three kinds of secrets:
    • Audio commentary: Access by pressing the "Language" button. Not all e-mails have them.
    • Secret "angle": Access by pressing the "Angle" button. Usually used to display the short pop-ups that can appear when you click on different things during the e-mails.
    • Secret menu options: Once the email is over, you can press down from "Next" to find a hidden menu option—a little icon that looks like Strong Bad's head. (You'll typically have to press down several times to find the hidden icon.) Sometimes there's stuff hidden under "Again" or "Main," and sometimes you have to browse around (left/right) from other hidden options to find them all. (If you can't find your favorite Easter egg, check the "DVD Version" section of your favorite e-mail in the Strong Bad Email section.)
    • Each menu has a secret Easter egg if you wait for a while. All are unique in their own ways.

Fun Facts

  • The art for the three DVD covers (Strong Bad, Stinkoman, and Senor Cardgage) looks reminicent of the art on the Star Wars Trilogy on VHS. That set also featured a different half-face on each cover: Darth Vader, Yoda, and a Stormtrooper.
  • This is The Brothers Chaps' CGI debut.
  • When the DVD set was first released, it was in such high demand that the online store quickly ran out.
  • .exe is a file extension meaning "executable." An executable file contains code for a program and "executes" in an operating system. .exe files are used in DOS, (e.g., "Peasants_Quest.exe" ran the Peasant's Quest program) and Windows—but not on a Macintosh (which The Cheat uses).

DVD Menu Bonus Stuff

-On any of the Menus on the DVD (excluding the email menus), if you sit around for long enough, there is a little secret that will play.

  • Bonus Menus : Strong Bad takes the Trogdor machine back

-Waiting Time : 19 seconds

-Transcript-

Strong Bad : Alright, choosy! Time's up! I'm playing Trogdor!

(the screen where the menu was turns into the Trogdor game.)

Trogdor Game (as Strong Bad kicks it) : Trog-dor.

(Strong Bad squished three peasants)

Strong Bad : Oh yeah! Don't stop-a-squishin'!

(Trogdor runs into a knight and gets 'sworded')

Strong Bad : Oh man!

(Screen changes to the Trogdor "It's Over" screen)

Strong Bad : WHAT!?! What's wrong with this stupid game!?!

(Kicks the machine and it changes back into the Bonus Menu)

  • Disc One Main Menu : Strong Bad tells the paper to tell you what to do.

-Waiting Time : 22 seconds

-Transcript-

Strong Bad : (Turns to the camera and looks under The Paper )Uh, The Paper, I think you'r gonna have to spell it out better for these simpletons. Apparently they're not quite graspin' it.

(Paper feeds up from the bottom of the page)

The Paper reads : Make your selection and mash GO, moron!

Strong Bad : Ooh! Bottom feeding paper. There's something you dont see every day.

  • Disc Two Main Menu : Tandy comes back to haunt SB!

-Waiting Time : 27 seconds

-Transcript-

(Tandy flys in with the weird eerie sound it has in 'Ghosts' The bad-graphics ghost is on the screen. Strong Bad stops looking at the Compy and talks to the Tandy)

Strong Bad : Whoa! Get outta here pixel ghost!

(The Tandy flies away)

Strong Bad : Phew. That was a close one. (Waves his hands around and turns back to face the Compy)

  • Disc Three Main Menu : "What the crap are they doing?"

-Waiting Time : 23 seconds

-Transcript-

Strong Bad (looking under The Paper) : Hey, what the crap are they doing out there?

Homestar Runner (also looking under The Paper): I don't see anybody. Maybe they're fixing a sandwich. (Goes back to his original position)

Strong Bad : Hey! Bring us some cold ones when you get in back here! (He also goes back to his original position)
