The Cheat is not dead... I'm so glad The Cheat is not dead. -Strong Bad
Strong Bad's number one. He loves himself very much, and gets jealous easily. He's always there to do Strong Bad's bidding, even when they aren't getting along. As you can see above, Strong Bad is so glad The Cheat is not dead. He can also play a keyboard, sometimes piano. Like Pom Pom, The Cheat does not speak in English. He has a kind of mumbling, disgruntled mew-talk he makes. "Meh!" However, everyone seems to understand him just fine. The Cheat owns a computer called Tangerine Dreams and is a master of Flash animation. His works include: Everybody to the Limit, The Cheat Theme Song, a main page, a song on the CD, two Strong Bad Email shorts (mile and crazy cartoon), and... well, you get the idea. It has recently been discovered that he "thinks pencil shavings are legal tender", and so does Bubs. He lives in The King of Town's kettle grill. He is 1 Foot and 2 Inches Tall and 18 pounds. He also has a gold tooth, visible when he smiles.
But what exactly is The Cheat? Well, Homestar says he is one fine looking young man in helium. Videlectrix thinks of him (or, perhaps, his digital likeness) as a little yellow dog-thing. In huttah!, Strong Bad says he looks like a cheese or maybe an anvil, which are apparently two of the finest things in life. In cheat talk, Strong Bad calls him a furry little man who hangs out with Strong Mad all day. That being said, Strong Bad does not treat The Cheat like a little yellow squeaky thing that somethetimes steals his ladytypes, as he mentioned in lackey. Really though, The Brothers Chaps probably like to keep it ambiguous so they can keep bringing it up and being all funny about it.
He is always referred to as "The Cheat" except by Coach Z who calls him "The Chort." His name is never shortened to just "Cheat" for any reason. The very few exceptions to this rule include:
- the first-ever reference to him by Homestar Runner (in the Original Book), who called him "that CHEAT."
- during the Strong Bad Email mile where Marzipan has a thought bubble that says "I {heart} that cheat". (This is strange, as The Cheat himself 'animated' mile.)
- in lunch special where Strong Mad said in his e-mail "Cheet helps."
- during scientific experiments (such as the one in caffeine), Strong Bad refers to The Cheat as his "control Cheat."
The Cheat seems to freak out at loud noises, as evidenced in Pumpkin Carve-Nival when Bubs's motorized pumpkin sent him into a panic. He also totally freaks out whenever he sees a bear holding a shark. He does, however, seem to enjoy lightswitch raves, in the Strong Bad Email techno. He is seen being blow back when opening things sometimes. His Halloween costumes over the years: Garfield, Punchy, Russel, and Izzy.

Greeting from his Character Video
Page Title: Incredible Cheating Action!
The Cheat: {subtitled} Yeah, I'm the Cheat. What are you gonna do about it? That's what I thought. Now let me finish. I help Strong Bad cheat at stuff. Hence, the name. Duh. I also DJ down at Bubs' on Friday nights. I'll put you on the guest list if you give me twenty bucks. I make cartoon animations with my computer. Don't ask me to make a video for your band. You guys suck. My main man Strong Mad protects me from larger predators, like being sat on by Strong Sad or Pom Pom. I've got a gold tooth. Wanna see it? Tough. Okay, fine. Now turn that camera off before I throw this bust of Van Buren at it.
