And why 3GB? My wild guess is that it's a reference to Gmail (Google mail), that now offers 2GB of email storage for free, which is much higher than people are used to, Hotmail was still at 2MB not so long ago!. 3GB is a simple way to express "more than it could fit in a Gmail account". It was probably just thought up as some mind-blowingly large number for a web cartoon (or whatever you want to call it) but not too big so it'd seem believable. I mean if you want a comparison Microsoft Encarta is about 2MB and that's a whole database, this is just some little cartoon thing. [[User:The Pardack|The Pardack]]

3 gigabyte attachment

Is it possible for Homestar to make a 3 gigabyte attachment? My new computer can barely stomach that. User:Rogue Leader.sig

I bet that's why Strong Bad's computer exploded. —BazookaJoe 15:55, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

But can 'Homestar' make one? User:Rogue Leader.sig

Probably not. 3 gigs is a very large file. —BazookaJoe 16:01, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Do we even know if Homestar has a computer? --bkmlb

IT'S A CARTOON --Sherlock

Thank you, Sherlock. It won't be long before someone complains that they can't find the "Medi-a-lectrix Playa" for download on the internet. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 16:47, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Do I need to take you giziz wurd fer it that tree gigs is realy dat big? I meen HOW BIG IS THAT? Thechamp 21:54, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Sereously, HOW BIG IS THAT!?!?!?!?!? Thechamp 21:55, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Huge. All of the content on Homestar Runner.com is probably less. more than enough to crash an office computer. User:Rogue Leader.sig

The site or the tre...er... three gigs, my HHHHHHHHHHH...ek... the key gets stuck Thechamp 22:04, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The site. User:Rogue Leader.sig

So the site crashes off ice comps Thechamp 22:07, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)
No, it doesn't, because you don't download all of H*R at once in an email attachment. Actually, the real issue with a three gig attachment is that it would crash the mail servers. Strong Bad would probably never get the email at all. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 23:27, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Three gigs is a bit less than a DVD. --The Real Zajac 21:12, 5 Aug 2005 (PDT)

For comparison, the size of the video that you actually see in the egg is 144KB. 3GB is about 22000 times larger than that. The entire content of H*R is about 300MB, or a tenth of 3GB. --phlip TC 04:28, 6 Aug 2005 (UTC)

^^How do you know the exact numbers if those are? Posted by Martin F.

The 144KB is courtesy of Flash Decompiler. The 300MB is from Right-click->Properties on the almost-complete copy of H*R on my hard drive. --phlip TC 06:14, 6 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Um, I think it might be worth cutting down the introduction description thing so it doesn't actually contain every other joke in the toon... Maybe just have it say "Strong Bad has computer troubles at the office" or something...

Yep, definitely. --Ookelaylay 18:58, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

That does give away some jokes. I think it should be when the first person said...whoever that was.--bkmlb

Was the first commenter a member or not, not that this matters, I think he makes a good point (he or she or heshe) Thechamp 22:02, 5 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I'm changing it right now, because the summary isn't supposed to be an entire plot summary!
