"Keep rocking it."

The year 1987 was apparently an unusually eventful year in the Homestar Runner universe. The DVD commentary for monster truck reveals that in 1987 Donnie Chapman dressed as Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe and Matt Chapman dressed as Evel Knievel for Halloween. At Flashforward 2006 Seattle, Mike mentioned that Matt won an award at a media festival for stop motion clay animation when he was in the seventh grade in 1987, but whether there is any further significance of the year to The Brothers Chaps remains in the realm of speculation.

Sketchbook (museum) — The year Homestar Runner, Pom Pom, and Strong Bad's ice cream incarnations were supposedly popular in Japan.
Email 2 years — The year Strong Bad used to hang out with his main man Van Mundegaarde. This is also the year when he became his "main man".
Email no loafing — The year productivity was down, and when the No Loafing Sign was put up.
Awexome Cross — The year the game is copyrighted.
TrogdorCon '97 — The year Strong Bad last checked that anime was called Japanimation.
Peasant's Quest Animatic — The year Peasant's Quest is released.
Teen Girl Squad Issue 12 — The year that Mindy presumably ceased to be Chief Cheerleader.
One Two, One Two (DVD Commentary) — The Brothers Chaps mention that the song Strong Bad sings may have originally been done by a very independent lady from 1987.
