In English, most words ending with "-ant" have the "a" take a schwa sound. However, in Homestar Runner cartoons, the "a" is sometimes emphasized.

- Original Book — In the DVD version, the narrator pronounces "contestants" this way the second time.
- Where My Hat is At? — In the DVD version, the narrator pronounces "reluctantly" this way.
- Bug in Mouth Disease (DVD commentary) — Matt Chapman, trying to remember a misspelled word on one of Bubs's business cards, says "consult-ant".
- Email space program — Strong Bad, as Space Captainface, refers to Homestar Runner (who is trying to put on a sweater) as a "space myoot-ant".
- Fan Costumes 2018 — In response to a fan re-creating the aforementioned scene, Strong Bad points out the "space myoot-ant".
- Email licensed (DVD commentary) — Strong Bad says that Bubs is probably a "consult-ant" of Senor Cardgage's Puddin' Patch.
- 8-Bit is Enough — If Strong Bad asks the Videlectrix Guys to list their catalog of Videlectrix games, they will mention "Peas-ant"'s Quest.
- Disk 4 of 12 - FriendlyWare — While playing Sea Battle, Strong Bad pronounces "quadrant" as "quad-rant".
Variations
- Email suntan — Strong Sad advertises the Ab-Abber 2000, pronouncing the number as "two thous-and".
- Email extra plug — Strong Bad pronounces the name of email sender Justin Corcoran as "cor-cor-án", when it should be more like "core-crin".
- Trogdor Was Dragon Man — Strong Sad says of Trogdor, "Strong Bad created him in the early two thous-ands."
