"Was" instead of "Were"

Sometimes, a character will say the word "was" when they should be saying "were", usually Coach Z.
Appearances
- Email little questions — Viklas asks how Strong Bad "seen out when you was a baby".
- Email caffiene — Coach Z says, "you was tryin' to jank me!"
- Email impression — Coach Z says "Bubs, the cold cuts was great!"
- Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon — Coach Z says, "I shoulda guessed you was behind all this!"
- Puppets on the Road — Homestar Runner talks about Overlook, a song that him and Mike Chapman made up "when we was kids".
- On Break — Coach Z says, "I didn't know you was the smokin' type!"
- Sbemail 136 Alternate Versions — At the end of the first draft, Strong Bad starts a sentence with "We was just, uh..."
Variations
- In Search of the Yello Dello — Homestar says, "I think I has the solution!" This phrase is repeated in little questions by Strong Bad.
