It has been suggested that the content of the page this talk page accompanies should not be a separate article on the wiki.

  • Please discuss below whether the content of the page should have its own article. Remember to consider ways the content could be brought up to the wiki's standards before making this determination.

If it is decided that the content should not have its own article, then the following additional issues need to be addressed:

  • Whether to merge the content with another page or remove it entirely.
  • Whether to redirect the leftover page or delete it outright.
 

Fish

Just a note: right now, Fish includes appearances of whales. So, either the whale appearances should be removed from that page, or this page should be deleted, so that the information isn't listed in two places. Trey56 16:17, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Well as the Fish page says, Whales aren't exactly fish. But as this is a Homestar wiki and not a taxonomy wiki, I see no problem with only having the fish page. Plus there are only two references to Whales, so they don't really merit their own page גשמלדרברגן (Geshmalder) 16:24, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm not the biggest fan of our current biologically incorrect way of doing it. Note also that there is also one reference to whales not listed here: "Vote Whales" from Strong Bad is a Bad Guy. Heimstern Läufer 16:28, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Actually come to think of it, there are more than two whale references, something that a glance at Fish confirmed. In that case, I would say it's a toss-up. Either way all the Whale stuff should be on one page. גשמלדרברגן (Geshmalder) 16:30, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I disagree. I think that this wiki should be renamed to the Taxonomy Wiki. REDIRECT That is after adding that missing ref, and strongly emphasizing the lack of taxonomy. Otherwise. Rename fish to "Sea Creatures". --Stux 16:31, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I feel like whales fall into the "everyday object" category more than the "running gag" category, so they really need quite a few appearances to merit their own page. So, I guess I lean toward keeping them on the Fish page, but perhaps they could be organized into their own section on that page. Also, the Sea Creatures idea Stux proposed isn't so bad.
