The new guy
Hey, Tampo. The new guy's been being bold, and we've reverted maybe 80% of his edits. It seems to me he's a little sketchy on what's going on. I'm trying to include reasons in my reverts so if he investigates why it was reverted, he can learn from that. I noticed you're using the super-special sysop revert which just logs the reverted editor and the version you're reverting to, which I don't think is much help to a newbie and might even be seen as unwelcoming. What do you think? - Qermaq - (T/C) 00:00, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- I reverted his edits because they were not necessary.

- Well, so have I. But shouldn't we be trying to let the new guys know why they're not necessary, so maybe they'll stop making unnecessary edits? Maybe it's just me. - Qermaq - (T/C)

- Qermaq is right. Unless it's vandalism, trolling or a test edit, you should always provide a reason for the revert. Even sysops are actually not supposed to use the rollback tool in these situations, but rather revert "the old-fashioned way" and provide a reason. Heimstern Läufer
