"Was it my star or propeller cap that gave it away?"

Very often, a character will impersonate or dress up like another character, usually for a prank. (This list does not include Powered by The Cheat toons, in which it is assumed that The Cheat impersonates all the characters)

Appearances

• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 9.2: Homestar pretends to be Marzipan, Strong Sad, Strong Bad, Coach Z and himself on his fake message tape.
• Senorial Day: Homestar pretends to be Bubs' own "flesh and blood".
• TrogdorCon '97: Homestar dresses as himself at the convention.
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 3.0: Strong Bad prank calls Marzipan pretending to be her.
• Email impression: Homestar, Strong Bad, The Cheat and Homsar all compete in the Strong Sad Lookalike Contest.
• Shopping for Danger: Reynold pretends to be Gunhaver and pretends to do missions while the other Commandos are away.
• Email halloweener: Homestar gets dressed up, poorly, as Strong Bad.
• Email do over: Homestar and The Cheat both dress like each other.
• Where's The Cheat: Strong Bad pretends to be Homestar when he calls Marzipan.
• A Jumping Jack Contest: The Cheat pretends to be Homestar and Strong Bad, Strong Mad pretends to be Strong Bad, and Strong Bad dresses like Pom Pom to get the trophy.
• Teen Girl Squad Issue 8: Mr. Pitters dresses like Cheerleader in hopes of being a "teen girl", only to be eaten by vultures.
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 4.0: Strong Bad and The King of Town both call pretending to be each other in order to clear their names.
• Pumpkin Carve-nival: Strong Bad dresses up as Homestar, and The Goblin dresses as Strong Bad.
• Happy Fireworks: Homestar (with Cardboard Marzipan) impersonates Marzipan while she is out of town for the summer.
• Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 10.2: Homestar briefly calls as Strong Bad, until Strong Bad hangs the phone up.
• A Decemberween Pageant: Homestar gets to play The King of Town in the play.
• Email theme park: Coach Z dresses as Stoppy the Sign, Homestar dresses as Poppy the Tire and Homsar dresses as Ryan S..
• Email interview: Strong Bad imitates Homsar during his fake interview.
• Email replacement: Strong Bad attempts to disguise The Cheat as a box with The Cheat drawn on it.
