::::I agree with merging the two into [[Incorrect Pronunciation]] or [[Mispronunciation]], and making different sections for the different types. (Like one section for the foreign words, and one section for the "er" to "oi"). {{User:Compgrl323/sig}} 03:09, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Rename: Brooklyn Accents

The current title does not aply to 1/2 of the listed appearances. Can we move this article to Brooklyn Accents? Bad Bad Guy 20:37, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Umm... it applies to all of them. — Defender1031*Talk 20:43, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
You don't spell learn, work, or turkey with "er". Bad Bad Guy 20:51, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Also, "Toikey" isn't actually pronounced in the latest toon, just spelled (as far as I remember). I agree that the title should be changed to something better. Loafing 20:58, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
The opening of the article makes it clear we're talking about an "er" sound, though, not necessarily the spelling. I don't think a change is needed. Heimstern Läufer 20:59, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah... i see both points... neutral — Defender1031*Talk 21:12, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Clarification: If someone can think of a more suitable name, I'd consider supporting it, but Brooklyn Accents is not good, as a Brooklyn accent consists of much more than just saying "er" as "oi". Heimstern Läufer 22:48, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
No change. It's talking about pronounciation of the "er" sound, so it doesn't matter if you spell it "er", "ir", "ur", or whatever. It all sounds the same, and the article is about the sound. --DorianGray 23:03, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Rename: Mispronunciations

THis page should be changed to "Mispronunciations". If there is another similar page, they should be merged. TheCheat(talk · edits) 22:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Mispronunciations is way too broad a topic for an article, methinks. Heimstern Läufer 22:48, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
We already have Foreign Words so we can't rename this page "Mispronunciations". Bad Bad Guy 00:05, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
We could merge the two pages into Incorrect Pronunciation if we really have to. --Y2K (15px-Crystal_Clear_app_xchat.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_kedit.png15px-Crystal_Clear_app_email.png) 05:32, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
I agree with merging the two into Incorrect Pronunciation or Mispronunciation, and making different sections for the different types. (Like one section for the foreign words, and one section for the "er" to "oi"). CompGrl323 (talk · edits) 03:09, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
