can anyone create me a sig? i never undertand the directions. if you need my password i could give it to you, just make it cool. note: these are the people i'd like most to help me: thunderbird, abdiviklas, its dot com, gnome o' fury, and teh frossty one. :I'm flattered that you'd ask me to help. First of all, though, I really, really would ''never'' give my password to anybody! (Besides which, no one would actually need it to make your sig. You'd have to go into "preferences" yourself, but that isn't too hard.) Secondly, I'm afraid I don't really have time. Somebody else might very well (maybe you could arange some kind of trade; you see stuff like that often, with users with drawing skills making pics for others in exchange for fanfics and so on), or better yet, take a shot at doing it yourself; I'll bet you'll find it easier than it looks. One other thing: some brand-new guidelines about what a sig should be have been posted at [[HRWiki:Signature]]. —[[User:AbdiViklas|AbdiViklas]] 20:13, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

== What ''does'' inspire these weird trolls? ==
-
:I think I should probably explain the [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User:Seriously/sig&diff=255413&oldid=255399 edit] I made to your sig - firsly,
<font color="blah">
is deprecated in favour of
<span style="color:blah">
. Next, one of the tags was
<font font color="purple">
- the extra
font
was in the way. The
<font>
tag arround the bullet wasn't closed, and there was no space after the bullet (which made it look lopsided). Finally, I combined the color and the font face into one tag for the "other stuff" link (you can do that, and it simplifies matters). Just ask me if you have any questions... {{User:Phlip/sig}} 12:22, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Even so, you should respect him. If he has just counterpointed your opinion and said his argument like he did, that gives you no reason to be like that. He also might just be mad at you because of your ridiculously profane comments that are barely censored. He can block you, and I might not be the one to say this, but I suggest you realize the trouble you could be in if you gave him another reason to be mad at you. :Heh, you're right. Glad to see you again. :) But yeah, my teacher has been constantly drilling me with stuff. Sixth grade is probably the hardest homework-wise, I think. +
::LOL—no, my son, it just gets worse! (Although, seriously, the kicker from what I've seen is that sixth grade is such a shock to the system if it means going from elementary to middle school. So much changes about the way students interact with teachers and the level of academic and life-management skills that are expected of them. And yes, actually, eight subjects' worth of homework in one night ''does'' sound like a lot by any standard.) —[[User:AbdiViklas|AbdiViklas]] 01:03, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Stop talking to troublemakers. It just puts more gas on the fire. Don't call them stupid. Don't tell them we're going to get them. The top one is your current sig, complete with link to a pointless redirect page. The bottom one is your sig, actually linking to your talk page directly. Other than the underline on the link, they look ''exactly the same'', and that's only because I have "Always underline links" turned on in my [[Special:Preferences|prefs]]. You claim it "It looks better that way!" but in fact it looks no different. The redirect page is completely pointless. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 13:34, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

:While I understand what you're saying, there's one thing that ''does'' make it look better. I just don't like seeing an empty link to my talk page when I'm viewing messages here. Thus, the redirect makes it a good link. But I'm not gonna contest this anymore, so you might as well delort it. — {{User: Seriously/sig}} 13:38, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

::Yes, Seriously, it ''is'' frustrating. But it doesn't do any good to threaten or insult vandals and trolls (this applies to ''any'' troll or vandal, not just Yeltensic). Sometimes, that's just what they're looking for, and at any rate, it won't stop them. Since we aren't sysops, the best thing we can do is revert and, if necessary (i.e., if the sysops don't already know), report on WikiTroll. Note that since Yeltensic isn't actually committing vandalism on the pages, we really should just leave this one up to the sysops. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 01:56, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

In the end, yelt, I'm just disappointed. You seemed like a pretty good user at first. Then, you became obsessed with the guestbooks and started putting offensive messages that were barely censored. Then, you went even further and made a page called save the guestbooks. Again. Again. And again. Finally you got blocked. I thought that would be the end, but no. Even when you go blocked, you just wouldn't give up. You've created more than 5 usernames, you know. That's bad. real bad. You are just ruining your reputation further. Soon, you will never have a chance to even ''salvage'' the broken pieces of your reputation, because you will be blocked indefinitely. Just give up, do your time, and come back on the wiki with a clean slate when you are unblocked. It's not too late. {{User:Seriously/sig}} 01:18, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi Seriously, I see you're working on your signature. I'm sure you're aware of our [[HRWiki:Signature|signature standards]]. It's not a big deal if it's a tiny little bit over the size limit, but your signature is currently over ''twice'' the allowable size. Please make sure that when you're finished, it's within the size limit. I've included your sig and the sig box below, as a handy reference while you work on it. I would suggest rewording, or <nowiki> or </nowiki> tags, or both. Thanks. {{User:Thunderbird L17/Siggie}} 04:32, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi there Seriously, I noticed you recently changed the color of your signature. However the color you have chosen is quite hard to read, and ''impossible'' to read on ''your own talk page''. Please consult [[HRWiki:Signature]], specifically the line stating "Your signature can be a different [[Help:Color codes|color or colors]], provided they are readable", and find a more visible color. What makes a signature special in real life is that it is recognizable because it, in general, stays the same over time. I was a pretty obnoxious kid, huh? Although I guess most people are that obsessed with their own opinions at that age. Well, ish happens I guess. Either way, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] as well as all the other responsible adults who gently led me through my childhood in such a retrospectively amusing way! You guys were all super nice yet appropriately reprimanding when I was being a total freak. Speaking of childhood, here's a funny thing I noticed: I've changed an incredible degree since age 12, and yet none of you seem to have changed at all. I looked at the recent changes part and It's Dot Com was one of the first ones I noticed. Perhaps most of that observation can be credited to how much people inevitably change during adolescence; nevertheless, it's sort of disturbing and comforting in equal parts to find this place exactly the same as I left it.

And I'll say this: it speaks plenty about genuine commitment that you guys are all still here, fixing that, adding on to this, and slowly and patiently leading all the little angry children that patrol this website. I find it admirable, if not the direction I would pursue in your situation. In any case, thanks for helping me out so much as a kid (if you guys even remember me).
-
I'd caution you against using barnstars, because several people don't support them and feel that they should be kept to the fanstuff wiki. So be careful we don't want everyone starting to do that and wind up with the guestbook situation and before you know it...no more barnstars. {{User:Invisible_Robot_Fish/sig}} 22:41, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

P.S. That less parenthetical statement makes me think... what are all of our most recognizable online attributes? Are any of them truly distinctive enough to be remembered? Sort of an interesting thing to think about. If any of you remember me, I would like to be remembered for my enthusiastic use of emoticons and tendency to insert my voice into conversations I had less to do with than the Iran-Contra Affair.

:another suggestion, if you intend on doing this for awhile, perhaps make a [[User:Seriously/pastcaptions|sub-page]] that has the pictures and captions from previous days. You could copy the code from [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=User:Seriously&oldid=259171 here]. {{User:Invisible_Robot_Fish/sig}} 18:33, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What does inspire these weird trolls?

Well, I know who Clan is, and also why someone would dislike him... I don't condone such actions, however. --DorianGray
He's a guy on the Fanstuff Wiki. Here's his userpage. However, that's all I know about him. Has Matt? (talk) 02:16, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
He also likes to hang around the forum a lot, so you might want to check there. I won't say anything else, because I don't like to speak ill of others. --DorianGray
After some digging around, I found his user profile on the forum. Has Matt? (talk) 02:27, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
What I wonder, though, is why someone decided to spam so violently for him. I mean, what did Clan do? — Seriously (Talk) 02:45, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

You can claim full ownership. I kind of do have a problem getting back to you, I admit. I've just been so busy with school (I don't get home until five o'clock), homework (two subjects every night except Fridays), and my personal life (friends, family, and my cat) that I haven't really spent all that much time on the Wiki of late.--Image:Homsar-in-motion.gifhr.pngΨHomsarΨroksΨImage:kookysig.gifImage:Cheat-shrug-tiny.gif 12:11, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] About your Wikistress caption

That's the truest thing i've heard in a while.

Anyone else agrees?

Nikolce Kocovski 06:39, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Heh, you're right. Glad to see you again. :) But yeah, my teacher has been constantly drilling me with stuff. Sixth grade is probably the hardest homework-wise, I think. Example: Yesterday, I had homework in every single subject. I have eight subjects. It's pretty brutal. :P — Seriously (Talk) 20:29, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
LOL—no, my son, it just gets worse! (Although, seriously, the kicker from what I've seen is that sixth grade is such a shock to the system if it means going from elementary to middle school. So much changes about the way students interact with teachers and the level of academic and life-management skills that are expected of them. And yes, actually, eight subjects' worth of homework in one night does sound like a lot by any standard.) —AbdiViklas 01:03, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
Just wait. I got 2 words. STANDARDIZED TESTS. DBK! 01:43, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Seriously (Talk)
The top one is your current sig, complete with link to a pointless redirect page. The bottom one is your sig, actually linking to your talk page directly. Other than the underline on the link, they look exactly the same, and that's only because I have "Always underline links" turned on in my prefs. You claim it "It looks better that way!" but in fact it looks no different. The redirect page is completely pointless. --phlip TC 13:34, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

While I understand what you're saying, there's one thing that does make it look better. I just don't like seeing an empty link to my talk page when I'm viewing messages here. Thus, the redirect makes it a good link. But I'm not gonna contest this anymore, so you might as well delort it. — Seriously (Talk) 13:38, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

Hi there Seriously, I noticed you recently changed the color of your signature. However the color you have chosen is quite hard to read, and impossible to read on your own talk page. Please consult HRWiki:Signature, specifically the line stating "Your signature can be a different color or colors, provided they are readable", and find a more visible color. Thanks, Thunderbird 15:22, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
