Heh, you're right. Glad to see you again. :) But yeah, my teacher has been constantly drilling me with stuff. Sixth grade is probably the hardest homework-wise, I think. LOL—no, my son, it just gets worse! (Although, seriously, the kicker from what I've seen is that sixth grade is such a shock to the system if it means going from elementary to middle school. So much changes about the way students interact with teachers and the level of academic and life-management skills that are expected of them. The top one is your current sig, complete with link to a pointless redirect page. The bottom one is your sig, actually linking to your talk page directly. Other than the underline on the link, they look exactly the same, and that's only because I have "Always underline links" turned on in my prefs. While I understand what you're saying, there's one thing that does make it look better. I just don't like seeing an empty link to my talk page when I'm viewing messages here. Hi there Seriously, I noticed you recently changed the color of your signature. However the color you have chosen is quite hard to read, and impossible to read on your own talk page. Please consult HRWiki:Signature, specifically the line stating "Your signature can be a different color or colors, provided they are readable", and find a more visible color. For some idiotic reason, all admins here are admins at the Fansuff wiki. However, no admins at the fanstuff wiki (besides Hrwiki admins) are admins here. — Seriously ^(Talk)

No, if you look closely, you'll see that the knowledge-base sysops just have reserve permissions at the fanstuff. That means that they can help out in an emergency, but don't have any responsibilities other than that. — It's dot com 04:35, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Then I don't see what you're griping about. As a rule, we stay out of the internal affairs of both the fanstuff and the forum, only stepping in in extreme circumstances. Huh? An example of an extreme circumstance would be being overrun with a vandal attack. I can't think of anything short of that where the reservists should exercise their abilities. In general, that doesn't happen much, and so the current amount of fanstuff sysops is plenty. Oracle is not a joke. It's a database. A wiki needs a database to hold all the information. We use MySQL, but there are many others, and the MediaWiki developers have been working to extend the software to be able to use the Oracle database. It's still in the experimental phase, which is why it was noted with an exclamation mark, indicating that it's not recommeded for important applications yet. I was a pretty obnoxious kid, huh? Although I guess most people are that obsessed with their own opinions at that age. Well, ish happens I guess. Either way, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank It's dot com as well as all the other responsible adults who gently led me through my childhood in such a retrospectively amusing way! You guys were all super nice yet appropriately reprimanding when I was being a total freak. If any of you were wondering (Will said, with a frighteningly small degree of facetiousness), I'm not so childish anymore.

Speaking of childhood, here's a funny thing I noticed: I've changed an incredible degree since age 12, and yet none of you seem to have changed at all. I looked at the recent changes part and It's Dot Com was one of the first ones I noticed. Perhaps most of that observation can be credited to how much people inevitably change during adolescence; nevertheless, it's sort of disturbing and comforting in equal parts to find this place exactly the same as I left it.

And I'll say this: it speaks plenty about genuine commitment that you guys are all still here, fixing that, adding on to this, and slowly and patiently leading all the little angry children that patrol this website. I find it admirable, if not the direction I would pursue in your situation. In any case, thanks for helping me out so much as a kid (if you guys even remember me).

P.S. That less parenthetical statement makes me think... what are all of our most recognizable online attributes? Are any of them truly distinctive enough to be remembered? Sort of an interesting thing to think about. If any of you remember me, I would like to be remembered for my enthusiastic use of emoticons and tendency to insert my voice into conversations I had less to do with than the Iran-Contra Affair.
