Reason
What is the relevance of this page? I just don't understand why the underscores are important. Someone please explain.

- Note that ingeneral, we can use internal links to get to youtube videos ([[youtube:somevideoid]]) however, mediawiki filters out underscores as described, the result being that, for example, [[youtube:_Z-C8NU3SVM]] produces an invalid link. — Defender1031*Talk 18:31, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
Other websites
There are issues with other interwiki links as well. Strong Bad replied to a Twitter user whose name started with an underscore, and the link didn't work when I tried to add it to User:Purple Wrench/sandbox.
