::And when you type in your sig, there's no need to put in the two hyphens or a piped copy of your name. Both of those are already in your sig (There's a dash in your sig template, and displaying your name is the whole pointy of a sig, so it already there too.) and are therefore needless typing! (Who wants to do more typing than they have to?) A quick shortcut to place your sig template on a page is to type three tildes (these guys "~"), and four to do the same but put a timestamp with it. While you're personalized welcome template is fine, the datestamp is a bit outdated. Perhaps taking out the datestamp altogether would be a bit simpler? Also, if you type <nowiki>{{subst:User:The thing/Welcome}}</nowiki> instead, it will save a static version of the welcome template to their page. Then that's what they'll see when they edit, instead of just a one line template. The other thing you could try (to fix the datestamp issue) would be to take out your datestamp and sig, and just sign your template:

It really doesn't matter how many good edits you have if you're being disruptive. If you vacuum your carpet but leave three clumps of mud, it's a problem. Also we're not limited to just your last hundred, so we're not talking about just three edits. — It's dot com 03:55, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
I think we have different definitions of disruptive. How is posting something on a talk page disruptive? What is it disrupting? If I make 3 edits you don't like out 100, would a block be warranted? Seems like in that situation, blocking me would do more harm to the wiki than good, no? We can end this discussion here though, I don't expect to convince you of anything, Dictator Dot Colonel Com. I'll say again, it's not a numbers game. If I obey the speed limit for 99 out of a hundred miles, but do twice the legal limit for a mile, and get pulled over, I still deserve to have the book thrown at me.
