The Metroid, Scourge Of The Galaxy

Hi. I'm Leith. Aka Thunderbird. I'm an electrician from Canada, near Vancouver BC. My screenname is Thunderbird L17, and no, it doesn't have anything to do with the car. It's more the inspiration of the legendary creature from Native American mythology. And no, I am not Native American. I enjoy the heritage of Scotland and... Ontario. But I preffer the Scottish half. Thunderbird was simply my first internet screen name when I played Age Of Empires back in the late 90's, now I use it for all my screen names. The L17 stands for my first initial and my age when I first started coming to this site (It's 18 now). I like this site, and enjoy contributing. Three days after first coming to the new Wiki, I was banned for a few days due to an accident. But I'm a good, productive member of the HRWiki community now. I've been reformed. I've been coming to the Wiki since mid-summer, by first finding the old one about 2 weeks before it went down, and then anxiously awaiting the opening of the new one for two more weeks after that. I have been a regular user of the new wiki since it opened, and prefer to create/edit pages that are at least a week or so old, so as to avoid the "brand new page" rush. Transcripts, Easter Eggs, I stay clear of all those sort of things generally. I preffer instead to "reorganize info", sort already known information into useful lists, along with supplementary information. I also enjoy finding pages with no pictures, and adding the pics. Besides my page credits, I also added pics to pic-less pages on more than 100 pages. I'm a Nintendo junky, as you can see by my picture, and I hope to one day become a moderator at this site. This is my second favorite website, second only to the Trapper Keeper.

Proudest Contributions

  • Floppy Disk Container Plus - My crowning achievement. I did most of the info, but not much formatting.
  • Halloween Costumes - My other crowning achievement. I came up with it and did all the formatting and much of the info and pics.
  • Strong Bad Email By Name - Read about the idea on the Strong Bad E-mail talk page, and created these twin pages in response.
  • Strong Bad Email By Place - Read about the idea on the Strong Bad E-mail talk page, and created these twin pages in response.
  • H*R.com updates 2003 - Read about the idea in the Forum, and ran with it. I consider it a nearly complete page, minus Quotes.
  • H*R.com updates 2002 - Read about the idea in the Forum, and ran with it. I consider it a mostly complete page, minus Quotes.
  • H*R.com updates 2001 - Read about the idea in the Forum, and ran with it. I consider it a not-complete-at-all page.
  • Toilets - Created the page, and added the pics.

Proud Contributions

  • Duck Guardian - Summaries of last 20 or so levels, completely made level select, and came up with armor glitch.
  • Holiday Toons - Built the base of it, including finding and listing all the additional Holiday Toons.
  • King of Town's Castle - Added the 'virtual tour' of sorts using pics.
  • Monkey D - Created the page, and added the pics.
  • Sketchbook - Made The Museum Sketches Section From A Very Basic Summary.
  • Strong Bad's Basement - Added the widescreen pic of said basement, it took quite a bit of work and editing.
  • Tandy 400 - Added and organized the history of the Tandy 400, with pictures.
  • The Cheat's Head Exploding - Added the pics.

Contributions By The Numbers

  • Over 1337 edits and counting!!!
  • Over 175 pictures and counting!!!

Other Noted Pages

  • Created most of the electronics items pages, radios, cell phone, ect.

Most pages that aren't even on the periodical update list I watch and update. But my pet pages are listed under the Frequently Updated Pages section. They're my favorite pages. I'm very proud of the slow and methodical time I put into the updates pages, The time I spent watching every Strong Bad Email to fill out the name and place pages, and the time researching and adding the games in The Floppy Disk Container. The latter is by far my favorite page. I research the labels, add the new pics, add sources, all that good stuff. I like that page. It's my precious.
