Merge

I think it's fine as a separate article or merged with Fluffy Puff Marshmallows. I don't see how his birthday being on July 11 is "beyond ridiculous." The email came out 7-11. He announced in the email that it was his birthday. Homestar Coder 16:37, 12 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Keep. Marshie gets his own page, separate from Fluffy Puff Marshmallows. Why not Nibbles? And don't just say because he's a brand-new character. Every character had to start somewhere. — It's dot com 16:39, 12 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Birthday?

The email came out on 7/11. Nibbles announces it's his birthday inside a FPM commercial! Commercials are meant to play over and over and over and over and over and over and over again! IMHO his date of birth is completely unknown. -- tomstiff 17:27, 12 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Now that I think of it, is is very stupid to have his birthday written. I am removing it. We should still keep the fact that he is one year old, IMO. Rogue Leader / (my talk)

Pictures

We have three pictures that were created only for the purpose of this article. One or two of these will have to go. In my opinion, nibble.PNG is the one that should get thrown. nibbles.PNG is an adequate replacement for that. marshievsnibbles2.PNG is good if you want to compare Marshie and Nibbles, and make Marshie's detestation toward Nibbles evident. -BazookaJoe 17:47, 12 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Aside

Is it just me, or is Nibbles far more plesent than Marshie (the most irritating character) who incidently can't stand Nibbles? -- The Real Zajac 20:24, 12 Jul 2005 (EDT)

Category

In the edits for Nibbles, Trogga states that he removed the Characters category because "Mascots" is a subcategory of Characters. I suppose that's a valid reason, which makes me wonder whether Mascots should be a subcategory of Characters.... Homestar Coder 01:55, 17 Jul 2005 (UTC)

To quote Wikipedia:

A mascot is something, typically an animal or human character used to represent a group with a common identity, such as a school, professional sports team, or corporation. American university and school sports teams are often identified primarily by their mascot. Sports team merchandise often bears the team logo as well as mascot. The team will employ an individual to accompany them to home and away games who dresses up as the creature.

Merge again?

I don't think we should just merge this without a little clear discussion on this page, as opposed to some other one where it might not be noticed. I don't have a strong opinion about whether this should be merged (it's more minor than Mr. Shmallow, so I would probably lean support), but we need a little discussion first. Much like with Dragons, I'm fine with "Main Article:" links in Fluffy Puff Mascots, and Nibbles deserves his own page. Nibbles has his own identity and isn't just a picture like Marshie's mom or Strong Sad's dragon. No merge. OptimisticFool 17:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

I think the main reasons for merging Nibbles with Fluffy Puff mascots are that, in relative to Mr. Shmallow, he only appeared once and didn't have his own toon. His commercial was a few seconds long as opposed to the full reel of Mr. Shmallow. Normally I'm for minor characters having their own pages, but since we have a page covering several minor characters relating to each other, I think merging this article in it is the way to go. — Elcool ^(talk)_(contribs) 11:00, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
