[edit] Is it just me?

I'm not very soft with cartoon characters, but I still think this easter egg was suitably depressing. Is that just me? --Skizzot 23:38, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I agree. It's cute, depressing, and makes me wish there was a 'toon about these two getting along. --MrsCommanderson 01:37, 5 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, for some reason, this really hit me when I first saw it. --76.86.234.41 06:30, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I know this page has been on and off for a few years, but I just want to say that depressingness was the point of this cartoon. Just like those sappy flashback-episodes in Futurama: you would never think you'd feel sorry for a butt-monkey (one who is made fun of), but by the end you are weeping for an hour. I just wanted to get that off my chest. Okay, Strong Sad is dumb and Strong Bad is awesome. *sniff* --Jellote wuz here 16:00, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Not only is this conversation over a year old, this is great for the forum. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 16:06, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

[edit] A bit of a stretch

The snow globe could be a reference to the commentary from the Yello Dello DVD, where Strong Sad mentions when he wore an old t-shirt at school that said "I'm #1."

Don't you think that's a bit of (a lot of) a stretch, just because he said he wore a SHIRT at SCHOOL that said I'M #1.

I gotta agree, that's pushing it a little. It's like saying that since Strong Bad says "Holy Crap!" in an earlier email it is referencing a later email. --Skizzot 23:41, 23 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I always felt a certain sympathy for the guy. He just never got enough support! ;D 68.225.242.19 07:11, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Possible Reference

I think the page title, 'The Secrets That I Keep,' may be a reference to a line in the song "In My Life" from the musical "Les Miserables." The line is "So dark and deep... the secrets that you keep."

I think you could find a whole bunch of pop uses of the phrase "the secrets that I keep." I think the whole thing should be removed from the article because it is too ambiguous which one it refers to- unless someone has a good case for one over another. Lynx 01:36, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I'm scarred

It's cinda werid that every one here is eather gone or anomimos except for Misscrmanderson. I Just did my bigest edet ever on this page(Not including my pages)— Pieinbubsface (t) 01:30, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Another reference?

A comparison

Is it just me... or is Strong Bad wearing the same clothes that Marty McFly wears in Back to the Future? He has the orange down vest and the jean jacket... TTE 00:48, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

That was typical fall-weather apparel of the time. Also, the rest of his clothes aren't a match to BTTF. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:04, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Aw, and I made a comparison image and everything... Can I upload it for this discussion anyway? --DorianGray
Sure, why not? Elsewise we have to take my word for it. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:18, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
There you go then. --DorianGray
LOL...I noticed that too when I saw TSTIK. AlliterativeAssociate 01:28, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Exept for Strong Bad's pants (which are almost always black) the colors does match. I'm not an American 80's fashion spacialist, but I think it is a reference. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:58, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Maybe this is just me, but I don't think I've even seen one of those jackets in any other movies from the 80s...how common were they really? AlliterativeAssociate 08:24, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Strong Sad's Room?

IS it just me, or does this remind anyone else of "The Crimson Room?" IntelligentCorpse hr.png 04:26, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Film reel

The name for the flash file of the movie reel is super8.swf. Super-8 is a film format created in 1960 and released 1965 by Kodak. I think this should be added as a Real-World reference

Added. Thank you. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 14:11, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Someone else must have noticed this

With the exception of the snowglobe, all the items in the box seem to be examples of Strong Bad being nicer than usual to Strong Sad. Some playful rough-housing, a fairly nice and normal photo of the two together, and a card--even one as mean-spirited as that is nicer than the usual treatment of Strong Sad we've seen. Devilot 11:26, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Errm...yeah...we've all noticed that. It's kind of the entire point of the page. Vol Chem, 1st Tile of Ical 07:42, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

In fact, given the precedent set by the other items, it's not unreasonable to conclude that the snowglobe came from Strong Bad. - Taster's Choice 03:59, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Right!

I gotta agree with you, Devilot. This looks mach nicer than Strong Bad would usually treat Strong Sad, especially seeing that he actually followed through with one fan's orders to "let Strong Sad know he's dumb and a crappy guy" {in depressio}. WeirdAl 14:12, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Li'l Strong Bad's Age?

How old is Lil Strong Bad here? It was sometime after one of his birthdays, we know THAT much, because Strong Sad has a belly-button... Kiwi (Talk | contribs) 20:38, 20 June 2005 (left unsigned)

We really have no way of telling. Though it is odd that Strong Bad would have given Strong Sad his belly button before they get along as seen in here, this page existed long before origins was released so it is a possibility that TBC just forgot. — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 18:48, 11 March 2007

[edit] Strong Sads shirt

In the picture Strong Sad is wearing a stripy shirt. This is a reference to Charlie Brown.

Yes, that's already mentioned. --DorianGray 18:05, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
