[edit] Push the Pop Tarts

There are only two mentions of Pop Tarts in the entirety of the H*R cartoons. They're not related, and I don't think they're notable. Without something more, I think this should be TIRED OLD STRONG BAD JOKE'D. --Jay (Talk) 18:24, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I agree with Jay. It seems like the Pop Tarts references were just throwaway jokes, and not an actual attempt to put them into the HR universe. What is that freaking word? Sbmaniac 17:04, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Only two references, not used in a way that's out of the ordinary, and just plain mundane? Looks like a winner to me! And now if you'd please turn in your hymnals, and join me in singing number 119, a-deleted. — DeLeted!1031*Talk
I like this article. Even though it only has two appearances, I think Pop Tarts contribute to Homestar Runner and are particularly interesting like C'mon! It's FOG! Keep and remove tbd. sig2am3.png KEEP!XX2 Talk about keeping an article Keep an article 19:53, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
The Fog Bottle was kept because few people would have noticed it without the page. And how does Pop Tarts contribute to Homestar Runner? It is used as a topping on pizza, and used as a representation for a guy with financial issues. Not buying your argument. Sbmaniac 23:55, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Honestly, Michael, is that "sig change" *really* necessary? You've already made your point that you want to keep the article, and going crazy about it is just making you look silly. That said, while I don't support the fog page, either, at least said item had a somewhat important role in the one toon it was in... Pop Tarts... eh, nothing more than casual mentions. This is Minor Foods material, definitely. Merge and Redirect. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 03:33, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
This is Ok, the article Michael Rudkins SX, England that was hillarious, your sig. Everything I contribute is watched, and when I looked at it, it looked a little more like an article, it looks better, this barely ever appeared, in fact it was like Cow Clips (such a tragic delete), you don't see that deleted. Do ya? Do ya? Do ya? Ooooo! Pweeeeow! Caw Me Pweeeeeow, like on another talk page, it's a wiki, it doesn't matter if it was on one toon, or in every cartoon, every second, it should have an article. Keep It!!!! Meaty85203 04:08, 22 March 2009 (UTC) (P.Freakin.S. Keep It, Keep It, Keep It, Keep It, Keep It, Keep It, Keep It!!!)
Check the Inclusion guidelines. Items specific to the world of H*R require ONE appearance. C'mon! It's FOG! wins! Generic items need five to ten. This page does not fit our inclusion guidelines. --Jay (Talk) 09:03, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

It really saddens me that instead of investing your time coming up with persuasive arguments concerning your opinion, the people in this thread only confuse it with useless repetitions. It does not help getting your views across when you add joke in every second word, and a non-related link on every third. If you one wants to be humorous, there are subtler, more intelligent ways to do it.
And while I'm here, this page should be deleted. If Pop Tarts pop again in some other toon a couple of times, we can discuss restoring this page. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:10, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

What is this, 2005? If everyone ceased making stupid references and just stated their opinions clearly, things would flow a lot smoother round here. Anyway, with only two appearances, I'm choosing a merge/redirect to Minor Foods. – The Chort 18:45, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

It says "Needs only one appearance in Homestar Runner toons, as long as it played an important role in the plot."'. I know this article doesn't qualify as one, but hey, neither does C'Mon! It's Fog!! Delete, and I'll delete This. (Maybe) Meaty85203 Talk To Me... Serously 22:43, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Meaty, I value your opinion, and I'm glad you are trying to reach a consensus. But if you want to make a case for another article to be deleted, please do it in that article's take page, not here. Add a TBD template, state your reasons why it should be deleted there and then we'll discuss it. Thank you. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:51, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
In reference to the point which I think you're trying to make, Meaty, I do not think Pop Tarts have played an important role in the plots of either privileges and Senor Mortgage. In the former, it is briefly mentioned and in the latter, Balding Man wants to buy a half-eaten pop tart. Neither fact has any influence on the toon that it appears in, for the plot would not be in any way affected by the absence of Pop Tart. Meaty, tell me; why are you so obsessed with keeping this unwanted article? Are you really that fanatical about Pop Tarts? And why does everyone except me hate C'Mon! It's Fog! so much? What did it ever do to you? By the way, the "If you delete this article, I'll delete a different article to get back at you" argument is not valid and will only lower other editors' opinions of you. Please count to ten and relax before continuing this discussion. – The Chort 18:57, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
All of the information in this page has been merged into Minor Foods (and has been for several days now). I think it can be safely redirected. - 22:27, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
I concur. Redirect. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 22:31, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Considering there are only two minor sightings of it, I agree. Redirect to Minor Foods -- 22:50, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Resurrection?

Okay, now I know you're going to think I've gone totally insane for Pop Tarts, but... it... Can I keep the page. *Everyone looks at me like I've gone insane* Meaty85203 Talk To Me... Serously 18:45, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

No. Still only one appearance of any real note, and only "used unusually" in the sense of an unusual flavor and being rigged to a splode (if not for the a splosion, Strong Sad would have consumed it normally). --Jay (Talk) 18:52, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Understood. Meaty85203 Talk To Me... Serously 17:09, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
