Talk:Parents' Basement

[edit] Split appearances section
Why is the page split up as it is? We don't to this for any other pages, unless the page is exceptionally long or the joke has a different form in different categories, for instance -'d has a different life within the TGS cartoons. I say the sections should be merged. — Defender1031*Talk 21:18, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I just split them up like that when I created the article. I'm a new user, so I don't know about all the policies and styles. Maybe we don't do this for any other pages, but why don't we? It seems more organized and easier to read when split up instead of one long list. I'm open for reasons why we should merge the sections. MenacingBanjo 02:35, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- It's not easier to read split up, because it's all the same joke, and it's separated. — Defender1031*Talk 12:28, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Article name
This article features appearances of the phrase "parents' basement", but also indicates occurrences of the phrase "parent's basement" (i.e. Environment and Magic Trick appearances). So we've got phrases with the apostrophe before and after the s. Is it safe to assume that the appearances of the apostrophe before the s were grammatical errors and TBC meant it in the plural sense? Or did they really mean "parent's" as in "the possession of only one parent"? Should we really ignore the instances in which the singular possessive was used in choosing the title? Perhaps, to be fair, the article should be called "Parent's' Basement." MenacingBanjo 02:48, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
