[edit] Goldspot

I added the nugget in there about goldspot. I'm not sure if it was a direct sample, or not, but it has to be HR inspired. Someone else want to take a listen and give their opinion? --Duke33 13:11, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I don't think so. A while ago I was listening to R.E.M's "Up" and a couple of songs had a Homestar Runner-style keyboard beat in it, But the album was released in 1998, so it obviously has nothing to do with Homestar. DaChazman

[edit] Calibretto 13

Um, this is my favirote band and I went to there myspace. I went to links and it had a link to Homestarrunner, with the text of, "You gotta love Homestarrunner he is a terrific athlete" So how 'bout it? Bassium!

If they're reasonably popular (not sure how much is 'reasonable' here) and you can find a link to that text, I don't see why not. --Stux 01:41, 10 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Chinchilla Protest

As noted about halfway down this page, a band from Kansas City formerly known as Jakespoon reformed to form a band called Chinchilla Protest. This seems like a likely reference to Marzipan's character video. Does anyone know anything about this band? Do they merit inclusion on this page?

Agent Stinky, please sign your posts. And I assume it's a referance, but I'm afraid I don't know anything about the band. — talk Bubsty edits 20:35, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] I made a song related to Homestar Runner

Using Garageband, I created a remix of the CD version of the system is down.

[edit] Ultraklystron, Salsa Commodity and The Skate Party

Does anyone have "He's Homsar", "Teen Girl Squad", and "Strong Sad Rocks Out" (both the Ultraklystron and Skate Party versions) that they could send me, please? None of these seem to be available anymore, and I can't find them anywhere on my computer and I'd kind of like to have them again. I'll give my e-mail address out when I get confirmation someone can actually send me these. Unless they would rather get them to me some other way, like upload them to a download website or something... that might actually benefit all the members of the wiki if we could add links to that, although I don't know if that would be allowed. ShiversTheNinja

I have He's Homsar and Strong Sad Rocks Out—only Ultralkystron's—on a Windows ME machine that's having amnesia at the moment. If I ever get around to getting it rescued I'll pass them on. See your talk page for more about giving your email address out. Meanwhile, you can hear the Skate Party version of SS Rocks Out in a video at http://www.archive.org/details/CleverDanStrongSadRocksOut. Please note that this is not the original, Flash-based video that the song first appeared in; that one had original art (all I recall is Strong Sad walking around in a black t-shirt); this is the work of one "Clever Dan" putting H*R clips to their song. (Though the way he makes the Tai Chi clip work with the chords is cool.) —AbdiViklas 23:19, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Seems I've found all of these songs (plus some old HSR quote remixes) on some old backup CDs! Lucky me! Guess this was sort of unnessecary, thanks anyways... ShiversTheNinja

[edit] Al?? Wow!!!!!

I didn't even know that that shark-eating-guitarist thing from the Virus Alert video was a reference to H*R!!! Wow, maybe if I see him on tour (yeah, right...) I'll ask if he meant to do that!

AL AND H*R ROCK!!!!!! -WeirdAl 20:56, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Possible Weird Al sighting, in the new video titled CNR ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrGmD2wk8m4 ) the bar is called "Bull Honkey's" --The Accountless Avenger

[edit] Shellac - Excellent Itallian Greyhound

On the supposid leaks of the new Shellac album, Excellent Itallian Greyhound, it appears the song "Genuine Lulabelle" has a few recordings of Strong Bad speaking lines. Of course, what I heard may not be the genuine album, but I am pretty sure it is. Anyway,

[edit] TMBG

They Might Be Giants isn't on here. They've collaborated, and they're a band, aren't they? Why aren't they listed here? --Homfrog 12:35, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rush

I saw Rush in concert in Manchester NH on July 11, and Geddy Lee was wearing a Trogdor! tee. Here's a picture

[edit] The Foresters

I'm in The Foresters, and I just want to let you know that the website in our section is outdated and hasn't been used in about five years. Please remove it. Here is our current website: http://theforestersband.blogspot.com/

[edit] Animals as Leaders

AAL have a song called “Wave of Babies”. Is this perhaps a reference to the 6th issue of TGS? 172.58.224.65 21:52, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit] Viking Guitar

Does this count? Wolf O'Donnel 01:05, 6 March 2021 (UTC)

It already appeared as a quote of the week, but maybe deserves mention here too? Bobmath 04:13, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
It was also used for the Stinkoman Level 10 Launch Trailer. --Stux 21:01, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
