[edit] Image
Should there be an image on this page? Maybe one of these?

- I'm voting for DadsGarage2.png. The picture is one of the main parts of the toon, doesn't spoil that much, and is a distinguishable scene from the toon. - Catjaz63 22:43, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- I would hesitate to use any of these. The quality (a still from a smartphone video taken from the right side of the third row from the back) is not up to our usual standards. In addition, I'm not entirely sure we should be linking to the youtube video at all, given that it was not posted by anyone with legal standing to do so. — Defender1031*Talk 05:54, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, and what about The Screen Savers Interview - 24 Jan 2005 and Pulse Interview - 1 Aug 2003? - Catjaz63 07:24, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
- Looks like there is a better quality image after all. Should we use it (for both this page and Dad's Garage & Friends - 11 Jul 2014)? Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 05:45, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
- I think the issue with the images isn't that they're necessarily just "low-quality", but they're also just photos of a screen taken with (presumably) a phone camera. It'd be much more preferable if it were a screencap of direct image of the toon, but that appears to be out of reach for now. - Catjaz63 05:56, 12 November 2017 (UTC)
- At least this is an official image from the Dad's Garage Twitter account, and not a screenshot of a video from a random guy's phone. Plus, it's probably the closest we'll get to a direct image. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 05:55, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- I don't understand this need to force images onto pages. If there's a presentable image that makes sense to illustrate the page, then by all means, put it there. But there's no rule that says that every article MUST have an image. — Defender1031*Talk 12:41, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- I know it's not completely necessary, but visual elements are always nice. Especially in this case, since there are no links to recordings or visuals of any sort. Most readers have no idea how any of the email looks like.
- Anyway, the image I linked to above is pretty simple and mostly made of reused Flash shapes, so I took the background from magic trick, put Homestar on top, and traced his shirt to get a near-identical recreation of the original scene. Here it is, plus a comparison GIF. We've used user-edited images before, so I don't see any reason not to add it. What do you think? Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 21:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
- I would upload the image, but I'd like your opinions first so it won't be deemed too unofficial. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 20:19, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Doesn’t hurt to upload it -50.234.189.37 21:02, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
