Uploading a New File

Hey OptimisticFool. I was wondering, how do I upload an file of an existing image. In other words, you uploaded a new file of a the New Years Eve clock from Homestar Presents: Presents. How do I do that? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 16:00, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Below the file history on any image page (e.g. Image:homestarclock.png) is a link that says: "Upload a new version of this file". From there, upload as normal (just don't change the destination filename it fills in for you). That'll do it. OptimisticFool 16:04, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

sig a little to big

Hey Optimistic fool. I was reading my talk page, and i found out that your signature is a little bit to big. It has to be able to fit into
this box.

Just like yours, my image is 20px high. Put yours in a box and you'll see what I mean. It's what the rules allow for. OptimisticFool 19:58, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
I just looked at it with magnification, actually, it IS outside the box, and yet, it actually IS still good. the box itself is broken, and is moving the image down by a pixel, hence, though it's not inside the box, it still FITS there. — Defender1031*Talk 20:56, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

DVD screenshot image format

Hey there, OptimisticFool — nice job uploading those images from Everything Else, Volume 3 — looking at some of them made me really hope I'm getting that DVD for Christmas!

One thing: DVD screenshots should be in PNG format. There's some debate right now about whether or not live-action toons should be in PNG format at HRWiki talk:Standards#Live action toon screenshots, so don't worry about the images I listed there for the time being, but the following images ought to be replaced with PNG counterparts:

I'm not saying you need to work on all of these (though you're welcome to if you feel like it), but just wanted to let you know for future reference and also so that you wouldn't be surprised if you see people replacing them. Thanks, Trey56 23:03, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Minor nitpicking

Hey OptimisticFool,

First of all, I wanted to say that I liked how you remade the Store Accessories page. It looks a lot more organized. However, I just wanted to remind you to be a little more careful when remaking an entire page, as some minor yet important elements can be lost. Crumbs! You're right. You see, I copied all that to a subpage in my userspace, and (of course) didn't want that to be categorized. Then I just copied and pasted what I had on that page and we lost the category. I'll do better! Main toon/Main Page images

Hey there, OptimisticFool — nice choice of an image for nightlife! It's a good representative for the toon, and it's not too spoilery for the Main Page. One very small note: there are two ways to handle the rounded corners when cropping a fullscreen shot. The first is to leave out the rounded corners, and cut off some of the edges. The second way is to crop it so that the black corners remain, and replace those corners with the color of the nearby part of the image (for the most part, those regions are monochromatic). Current practice is to go with the latter for main images for toon articles and fullscreen shots that go on the Main Page. It's only a matter of pixels, but it's nice to have the full screen for those images. Just thought I'd let you know for future reference (I don't think it's even on HRWiki:Standards, so there's no reason you should've known). Hope that helps, Trey56 17:48, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I figured that out pretty quickly when you overwrote my image. Makes sense. Too bad I couldn't have been the one to overwrite it. Granted, I know that we wanted it on the main page and protected pretty quickly, but I'm pretty darn quick! Oh, well. My life ain't over. =] OptimisticFool 17:52, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

I uploaded Image:AccentPanic.png; it's a screenshot of Strong Bad at the peak of his panic. It's him saying "Waaah!" If you specifically want one from when he is saying the words "I gotta save my weird accent!" I can arrange for that, too. Let me know. OptimisticFool 00:49, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading Image:Jurvy-Skat.png. I've been wanting that image for well over a year, and I was glad to see someone had finally got around to it.
