::The two examples given in [[HRW:IG]], Coach Z's Z and The Poopsmith's Shovel, are both of only minor importance to any toons... they're a major part of the character's outfit, but that's it. Homestar's hat, however, is a major part of both [[Where My Hat is At?]] and [[car]]... it's more than just a costume feature, it's a prop, and deserves its own page. Also, as Homestar Coder said, the inclusion guidelines are ''guidelines'', and aren't set in stone. If there's a page that clearly deserves a page, but IG says it shouldn't (or vice-versa), and there's consensus, the guidelines can be ignored (or even changed, if there's consensus to do so). Personally, I think that clause of IG should be reworded, since it even gives an example of [[BMW Lighter]] as an acceptable page, even though that item is "closely related to" [[Strong Bad]]... but it's played a part in the plot (or at least, the punchlines) of various toons, so it's given its on page.
