{Strong Bad and Strong Sad are sitting on the couch in the basement watching TV. A green fume can be seen coming out of the couch between them.}

TELEVISION: College Reg has the B at the T of the K!

STRONG BAD: {sniffs} Ewww! Strong Sad, what's that puffy smell?

STRONG SAD: Come again?

STRONG BAD: Did you make up another batch of that stewed Easter basket grass?

STRONG SAD: Yes, but I think this {sniffs} puffy smell is coming from the couch.

STRONG BAD: The couch? {Reaches behind the couch cushion and pulls out a decorated Easter egg} Whoa!

STRONG SAD: That must be an egg we missed from last year's Easter egg hunt!

STRONG BAD: Uh, I don't think this is from—

{Cut to a closeup of the egg, which reads "BO KNOWS EASTER EGGS".}

STRONG BAD:last year, Strong Sad.

STRONG SAD: Oh, geez! Be careful!

{Cut back to wide shot.}

STRONG SAD: That thing is live, man!

{Strong Bad stands up on the couch and starts lightly tossing the egg.}

STRONG BAD: You can keep talkin', {winds up} or you can start runnin'!

{Strong Sad jumps up and starts running offscreen.}

STRONG SAD: Soolnds, don't fail me now!

STRONG BAD: Hwah!

{Strong Bad throws the egg, which smashes against a wall. Cut to a closeup of the wall, where the egg's greenish innards spell out "Sbemail Next Week".}

[edit] Fun Facts

[edit] Explanations

  • This short aired instead of the weekly Strong Bad Email. As promised by the tagline, the email shapeshifter was released the following Monday.

[edit] Trivia

  • Although normally inaccessible, a slightly different repeat of the egg breaking against the wall exists in the Flash file just beyond the end of the cartoon. To do this, right-click and hit play at the end of the cartoon in the Flash File.
    • The text does not have a drop shadow in these extra frames.
    • The sound of the egg breaking against the wall is shorter.
    • The design on the wall is slightly more to the right.
  • This toon first appeared in the New Stuff menu and was not added to the Holiday menu until the following week.

[edit] Remarks

  • Strong Bad and Strong Sad can smell the egg despite the fact they both lack visible noses.
  • Strong Sad found several eggs in the couch in morning routine, yet he did not find this egg.
  • As Strong Bad tosses the egg from his left hand to his right, the writing is backwards.

[edit] Goofs

  • Strong Bad holds the egg in his left hand, but when the egg is shown up close, it appears to be in his right hand.
  • The gray outline of the remote overlaps the red bar on the remote.
  • After the close-up view of the egg, the green fume disappears.

[edit] Inside References

[edit] Real-World References

  • "Bo Knows" was an advertising campaign from 1989 and 1990. Pro athlete Bo Jackson played both professional baseball and football in the same year (becoming an All-Star in both); the ads promoted Nike shoes for multiple sports, beginning with teammates stating that "Bo knows baseball" and "Bo knows football" and escalating to various athletes affirming that "Bo knows" their sport as well.
  • Strong Bad and Strong Sad watching college basketball after Easter refers to March Madness, the ever-popular NCAA basketball tournament in March.
  • The commentator who says "College Reg has the B at the T of the K!" has a voice similar to that of NCAA basketball commentator Dick Vitale.
  • Strong Sad's exclamation "Soolnds, don't fail me now!" is a play on the phrase "Feets, Don't Fail Me Now!".
